RED RIBBON WEEKOctober 23 – October 27
What is Red Ribbon Week?
The Red Ribbon Campaign® was started when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki
Camarena in 1985. This began the tradition of displaying Red Ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. The mission of the Red
Ribbon Campaign® is to present a united and visible commitment towards the creation of a
DRUG FREE AMERICA.
SGP’s goal for all of our students is Prevention. We want you to stay drug free, think about your future to
set goals, and rise high!
