It has certainly been an ex- hilarating and eye-opening ride, but one I have taken with no regret and much honor. First, I must recognize the efforts of our past Boards. Most recently, under the direction of Greg Caldwell and Jack Holton, these Boards were able to stabilize our fiscal future. With the refinance, reduction in property taxes, and continued cost reductions we were able to build our bank account which has allowed us room to breathe and continue the healthy maintenance of our Club. Over this past year we have been able to not only maintain that fiscal health, but have also been able to complete many needed projects all around the Club. Looking back at this year alone, we have certainly been busy! Along with the regular maintenance and care of the Club, we completed the exterior paint- ing which, through the diligent efforts of Mark Campbell, was more than half paid for by the south towers AT&T project. We replaced the worn outdoor and locker room bench cushions. We welcomed our new Food & Beverage Manag- er, Jason Hsieh, who has already brought us new Tapas & Breakfast menus and continues to work on other food and beverage ideas for the future. We also wel- comed a new Business Manager, Loree Goodrich, to our Red Hill team. Through the diligent efforts of our Budget & Finance Committee, we were able to adjust costs this year to allow for a 3% pay increase to our employees Out on the Greens, we replaced much of our aging course equipment. We were able to complete cart paths on 3, 5, & 7 and make much needed re- pairs on 17. We completed renovation of both course restrooms and the mainte- nance restroom as well. We extended our green surround spray & maintenance program out to the tree line to help with on-going poa control, health, and maintenance of the rough. Continuing forward, we are in the process of what I see as our most crucial and necessary project of all, that of water conservation in our turf reduction & course enhancement project. Along with these accomplishments this year, we welcomed over 20 new members to Red Hill, and we have continued to maintain a healthy and stable bank account for our future. As I look back at all we’ve done this year, I must thank our Manage- ment Staff and our Committees for all their hard work, diligence, and patience as we worked through the infinite number of details that were needed to make all these projects possible. It was truly a team effort! I must also thank my hard- working and diligent Board of Directors for all the time and effort everyone put in all year. Although we may not have always seen eye-to-eye on everything, we worked together, maintained our focus, and continued our work for the good of Red Hill. I am very confident that our Club is in a good place, and I am happy to pass the gavel to our incoming President, Dale Hildebrandt, who I know will continue to move us toward a positive future. Finally, I want to thank all of you who have supported me throughout the past three years, especially this year. Your words of encouragement, positive guidance, and friendly smiles everyday have meant more to me than I could ever express. THANK YOU! Here’s to the bright future of Red Hill Country Club! Cheers! Most Sincerely, Michelle Lindley President

My Dear Fellow Red Hill Members, As my year as President comes to an end, I have been reflecting on the events of the past three years. It has certainly been an ex-

hilarating and eye-opening ride, but one I have taken with no regret and much honor.

First, I must recognize the efforts of our past Boards. Most recently, under the direction of Greg Caldwell and Jack Holton, these Boards were able to stabilize our fiscal future. Red Hill Country Club 2015 Nominees for the Board of Directors

As a 17-year member, I have always con-sidered myself fortunate to be a member of Red Hill Country Club. I have spent the better part of the past 12 years working as a member of our Member-ship Committee, with many of those years serving as Membership Chairman. I also had the honor and privilege to serve on our Board of Directors from 2009-2011 and worked hard with my fellow board members to address chal-lenges and issues presented by an eco-nomic recession that also impacted our Club and membership. Following a lot of hard work, we got our Club through those difficult years. We also estab-lished a Budget Reserve Fund that has continued to grow over the years since. I am seeking an opportunity to again serve on our Board of Directors. As a 20-year small business owner, I under-stand and possess the skills and exper-tise to help the Board manage and bal-ance the priorities of our membership while maintaining fiscal responsibility and sustainability for our Club. By continuing to work together, I believe there is even more that we can collec-tively do to continue to improve and enhance our membership experience beyond what we currently enjoy. I truly believe that Red Hill Country

Club is the best place to play golf, meet

with clients, socialize with friends and

enjoy a great dining experience, all in

one convenient and beautiful location.

Chuck Buquet

I would like to submit my interest in serving on the 2015-2017 Board of Directors for Red Hill Country Club.

Along with the honor of serv-ing our Club as your President and as a Board Director, I have also served as Social Committee Chair, House Committee Chair, Wine Committee Chair, and as your Historical Chair.

Over the past few years Red Hill has gone through many changes and has faced some challenges. As we continue to work through these challenges I believe it is very important to maintain consistency and pas-sion in our actions. Over the past few years our Boards have been able to create a stable fiscal environment, which has allowed us to again move in a positive and productive direction.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to help move our Club responsibly forward.

Thank you for your consideration.

Most Sincerely Michelle Lindley

Dear Regular Members of Red Hill Country Club: I respectively submit my application as a member of the Board of Directors of Red Hill Country Club. I very much would appreciate your vote in the upcoming Board of Directors election. I am a retired General Building Contractor for the past 18 years. I have been a regular member of Red Hill Country Club for over 30 years. I was a mem-ber of the House Committee in 2007. I was a member of the Green Committee in 2008, 2009 and 2010. I have previously served as a member of your Board of Directors for the years of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2008, 2009 and 2010. I previously served as President of your Board of Directors for the years of 2000, 2001, 2009 and 2010. I donated 12 months of my time to the membership of Red Hill Country Club from September 1999 through September 2000 as the Project Manager of the new Golf Course irrigation system. I also donated over 20 consecutive months of my time to the membership of Red hill Coun-try Club as the Project Manager of the new clubhouse during demolition of the existing clubhouse in October 2005 through the opening of the new clubhouse in May of 2007. During my past tenure as a member of your Board of Directors for 6 years I attended each and every meeting of the Board of Directors. I believe that being a Member of your Board of Directors is a job and not a privilege. The job of being a Member of your Board of Directors requires a substantial amount of your time and I am willing to put forth all the time needed of me to be a productive representative of the entire membership of Red Hill Country Club. I have always stressed that the Board of Directors must make decisions that are for the betterment of Red Hill Country Club and its Membership as a whole. The Board of Directors must keep the membership in-formed of all the business of Red Hill Coun-try Club and I am a Believer of holding Town Hall Meetings with the member ship during the year to keep all members informed! Again, I would appreciate if very much to be your representative of Red Hill Country Club Board of Directors for the years of 2015, 2016 and 2017 Sincerely,

Craig M. Berry

Red Hill Country Club 2015 Nominees for the Board of Directors

Dear Fellow Members, I would like to

run for the board of direc-tors. Each year, we elect three new members to the board and I would like to be one of those. I've been a regular member since 1999 and a junior member be-tween 1982 and 1990. I have been on the Golf Commit-tee in previous years and

Currently serving on the House Committee.

Sincerely

I have served on the Board at Red

Hill for the previous three years. I

want to continue my service for the

club. I have been an integral part of

correcting and solidifying the finan-

cial stability of the club over the

past three years. Under my watch

as Treasurer for the past three years

(2011-2014), the club has re-

financed the club house loan to a

lower interest rate which equates to

a lower monthly payment, the

budget has been met or exceeded

each of those years. The cash posi-

tion has increased by approximately

$700,000. Under tight budgets we

have been able to improve the club

with capital expenditures, such as

cart paths on the front nine, that

have been included in the operating

budget without assessing the mem-

bers to cover the costs. We still

have struggles with gaining mem-

bership and the finances of the club

are a primary focus in the future. I

have that knowledge and want to be

able to continue with the plan.

I have been a member since 2007

and have watch the ups and downs

of the club. We are in a good posi-

tion currently but want it to go to

great.

My wife, Agnes and I enjoy the club

and I look forward to serving on the

Board in 2015 and beyond.

Thank you for your consideration.

John Hadley

Dear Fellow Members of Red Hill Country Club: I am asking for your vote this upcoming election for the privilege to become a mem-ber on the Red Hill Country Club Board of Directors. I was asked to write this letter showcasing my qualifications which in-clude:

Member in good standing since 1999

Served multiple years and was Chair-man of the House Committee

Served multiple years and was Chair-man of the Greens Committee

Served on the Board of Directors 2006, 2007, 2008

President of Red Hill CC in 2007

Chairman of the Nominating Commit-tee 2009, 2010, 2011

Served since 2005 and still sit on the Champagne Committee

I currently am the president of two corpora-tions and the managing member of two LLC’s while sitting on the board of directors for another corporation and one industry association. I have served on numerous boards including home owners associations, businesses, and charitable foundations. My private and business life now provides me with the necessary time it takes to properly hold a position on Red Hill Country Club Board of Directors and I wish to serve on the board once again. With all that said I feel that my best qualifi-cation is that I love Red Hill Country Club and will strive to work towards its better-ment. I have read our bylaws a number of times and there are pages that explain the board’s duties and powers, but the one thing missing is the one thing I think is most important and I promise to do, that is, take the time or make the time to listen to the comments of all members. Thank you for your consideration and your vote. Gregory C. Severson

I play in many outside tournaments throughout the year and therefore exposed to other clubs and their facilities. I have a good idea of their successes and failures. I feel if elected, I can bring good quality ideas, thoughts and solutions to our club on the behalf of its members.

Happy New Year’s Everyone!! We finished the final month of December 2014 very strong and I would like to thank Angela, Lida,

Lora, Loree and all of our wonderful staff here at Red Hill for their dedication and hard work. As for the month of Decem-ber 2015, we are pretty much fully booked for 2015. There are a few dates left so if you are still planning a holiday party in December please call Lida ASAP to reserve your space. As some of you already know, we have been quite busy in the kitchen for the past few months developing our new dinner menu. We have invited Chef’s and meat experts to come out and conduct trainings with us so we can provide an upgrad-ed menu with better meat quality and cuts. To start off 2015, our team would like to present and showcase our new and upgraded steak house style menu. Please check out our website for the new menu. Reservations are highly recommended due to the recent full capacities of the restaurant. Please note that we also have our wonderful Tapa’s menu available for you to enjoy at the lounge if you are waiting for a table. We also have a new Banquet Events and Audio/Visual equipment rental menu. Our goal is to provide our members with consistent menu pricings and equipment rentals. We have attached a bio and information from our new meat vendor for your review.

Shop Talk By Jim Porter

SHOP TALK – February 2015 2015 has started as most years, with beautiful weather and our Thursday and Satur-day teams playing like the winners they have become. They played what will surely be the most difficult match they will play all year over the weekend of January 10th

and 11th when they went head to head to decide our annual Jenkins Cup. The Saturday Team led by 5 points after the Foursomes and Four-Ball matches on the first day and stretched their lead to eight points after the first three singles matches on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Saturday Team, the Thursday players rallied beginning with the fourth match on Sunday and were able to win 14 of the final 16 points, including wins in ten straight matches. When the dust settled Thursday Team earned a 22 to 17 victory and their first Jenkins Cup since 2010. The Jenkins Cup always gets both of our teams ready for their upcoming Team Play seasons and wins by both in the first two weeks again show the value of the Jenkins Cup. Our 2015 Bud Taylor Cup Committee is putting together a great weekend in November (5th, 6th, and 7th) that will wrap up our golf season. As has been done in the past, Team Jess Evans will play Team Gyle Tague in three matches to decide the Cup. Unlike the past, the captains will be selecting their teams from the high finishers in each of our Championship events (Club Championship, Four-Ball Stroke Play, Presidents Cup, and Four-Ball Match Play) as those events are completed. They will complete their teams after the Italian Open in September by selecting at least ten (10) players who earned the most Participation Points over the tournament season. A Participation Point can be earned by playing in the following events: George Wash-ington Par Point, Irish Open, April Eclectic, Club Championship, Four-Ball Stroke Play, Leggio Scramble, Presidents Cup, Four-Ball Match Play and the Italian Open. The final players will be selected because of their participation in these events, not because of how well they performed. The Bud Taylor Cup weekend will also include our Champions Dinner with all Bud Taylor Cup players invited to a special evening honoring those who will have won our Championship events over the year. We will keep you posted as the teams are selected and the number of participation points earned by each player. Be sure to note the dates of all of these events and look for information flyers in upcoming newsletters. HOT SHOTS December 3rd was a nice day for Bob Mendez, despite the rainy weather, when he shot his best ever round – a nice 84 that included a 40 on the front nine (his lowest ever front nine score). Dr. James Wu aced hole #10 on December 7th for his first ace. Unfortunately, he hurt his neck shortly there-after and could not complete what might have been an excellent round. Five birdies on the back nine gave Greg Caldwell one of his lowest scores in recent months on December 24th. A perfect #9 iron found the hole on #10 for Bruce Pasqua on January 4th. Hole #10 again fell victim on January 8th when Garrett Cunningham recorded his first ever Hole-In-One. It only took him 45 years of playing! Congratulations to all of our Hot Shot players.

Happy New Year Lady Golfers. It’s a brand new year, a fresh start. You should sign up for the

“Ringer”. If you play from the Silver, Red or Yellow tee box, the score will improve with play.

For just $5..00 you have a chance to improve your score on the Ringer at 3 months at a time.

Each time you play, your handicap and score from that tee will show the best score within the three

months we are playing. At the end of the 3 months player with best improved scores will win some-

thing from the “Ringer” pot. We will start over every 3 months. It’s fun, you can see how your game

is going up or down. Speaking of improving your score and GREAT golf shot. In our Christmas tour-

nament this past December, Amy Walsh knocked the ball up close on # 13 and EAGLED ! that’s

right,on #13 the second highest handicap hole for our men. Way to go Amy! Of course to be fair, it is

a par 4 for the men and par 5 for the ladies. Even so, an eagle on any hole is great golf.

Traveling New Just In- Renee Dake went to Palm Springs last week, at Tahquitz Resort January 15-

16th. She played in the Senior Championship and took 2nd net in the “B” flight. Congratulations

Renee. You are a great representative of Red Hill Lady Golfers.

Speaking of competition, on February 15th Mars vs. Venus is coming up. You remember ladies, we

took back the trophy from the men last year. Can we do it again. ? Either way, it’s a fun golf event,

put on by Donn and Sue Best. Sign up in golf shop, as a foursome or couple or single, they will pair

you up for a fun afternoon. Of course the chicken and ribs afterward is always worth the event even if

the men win this year. WHAT DID I SAY ?

Here is another event worth your attention, our Senior Women Golf Championship. Some “60” year

young golfer might show us some great golf out there on our beautiful RED HILL golf course. That’s

right, this year it it open to all sixty year old players, changed from sixty five. This will get you ready

for your team matches. Yes team is starting to roll. Faye Murray is captain.

No matter if you play social or competitive golf it’s a great game. Come out and play. Join your

friends and meet some new friends. The grass is green, trees are trimmed, putting surface is smooth.

As my friends Marge Stonebraker and Doris Jacobs told me “ Straight back and straight in the cup “

makes for a one putt. See you on the course.
