1. Put a lined recycling container in each office/class/lab. Place about 6ft from a trash bin.

2. Attach a sign.3. Empty regularly. Wear gloves.

Discard any trash.4. Call 5-3593 for pickup.

GCC Recycling for DummiesPAPER, PLASTIC AND ALUMINUM

• In November 2009 the Environmental Club analyzed recyclables from eight classrooms and labs in the PS building.

• Six bags of plastic bottles, cans, paper and trash were collected.

• Only about ½ bag (~10%) was trash. This bag contained recyclable items contaminated with gum/fluids or Starbucks-style drink containers.

• 10% is better than 30%
