The City of Ann Arbor’s monthly Recycling Craft are held one Saturday a month during 10:00am to 12:00pm, from September through June. RECYCLING CRAFT SCHEDULE 2017-18 Plastics Recycling & Looking out for Nature Transform plastic containers into winter feeders and shelters for backyard wildlife, and use alternatives to plastic to create compostable ones! JANUARY 20th FEBRUARY 3rd MARCH 3rd APRIL 7th MAY 12th JUNE 2nd SEPTEMBER 30th OCTOBER 21st NOVEMBER 18th DECEMBER 9th Reducing Waste with Reusable Sandwich Bags Illustrate what you love about reduce, reuse, recycle on your own reusable sandwich bag. Recycled Papermaking & Making Masks Create your own beautiful, spooky, or silly, recycled paper mask. Glass Recycling &Table Tiles Add sparkle to your holiday table with your own mosaic tile created with clay, glass, beads, buttons, and shells. Metal Recycling & Making Music Brighten the dark winter days with a bit of music by designing your own instrument with reused and recycled materials. Plastic Bag Pollution & Recycled T-shirt Bags Replace those plastic bags with reusable t-shirt bags. Bring your favorite old t-shirt or select from our colorful collection, and we will help you create your very own bag. Compost Up Close & Planting Pots Take home your own handcrafted compostable pot and native plant seedling. We will share recipes for generating rich compost and give you the opportunity to observe some of nature’s recyclers up close. E-Waste Explored & Recycled Robots Mixed material items like e-waste cannot be put in your curbside cart, but how we handle e-waste has a big impact on our environment. Use those items that do not belong in your recycling cart to create recycled robots. Summer Celebrations without Styrofoam Join us for a party demonstrating alternative ways you can celebrate by using recycled or reusable items. Use compostable materials to create decorations that you can take home for your next summer celebration. All Recycling Craft events include an activity or craft. Unless otherwise noted, events are FREE and materials are provided. Pre-registering is encouraged. Directions to the Ann Arbor District Library Westgate Branch:

The AADL Westgate Branch is located at 2503 Jackson Ave, Ann Arbor, MI. The library is located in the Westgate Shopping Center.

From I-94 and US-23 North: Take exit 172 (Ann Arbor/M-94). Keep right to continue on Jackson Road. Turn right to enter the Westgate Shopping Center.

From US-23 South and M-14 West: Take exit 45 merge onto M-14 W/US-23 BUS S toward Ann Arbor. Take exit 2 Maple Road toward Miller Road. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit. Continue on Maple Road and at the next roundabout take the 1st exit to stay on Maple road. Turn right to stay on Maple Road. Turn right to enter the Westgate Shopping Center.
