1 ton of paper is made of 2 - 3,5 tone de lemn, that is about 20 trees. Paper is made by chemical boiling of the wood cellulose fiber;
recycling 1 ton of paper saves 17 trees; paper is recyclable but a clerk usually dumps 55-70 kg paper per year. paper recycling saves the forest… every ton of recycled paper saves 30.000 liters of water, the
energy consumption is reduced by 25% and atmosphere pollution is reduced by 80%; in the USA, waste paper in a year may provide heat for 5 million homes for 200 years.
Starting year 2000 our school signed up for the ECO-School International Program. Ever since, the students participated to many ecological activities with recycling emphasis. In recognition of the eco
behavior, we were awarded for 4 times the INTERNATIONAL GREEN FLAG PRIZE. The motivation of the students was based on a
