Dementia UK3

Thank you for your interest in joining the team at Dementia UK.

Every three minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with dementia and it is now the leading cause of death. There are currently over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and this is expected to increase to 1.1 million by 2025, and 2 million by 2050.

In response to this Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult, Admiral Nurses nurses work alongside them, giving the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions people need. The unique dementia expertise and experience an Admiral Nurse brings is a lifeline - it helps everyone in the family to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

We want to ensure that there is a Dementia UK Admiral Nurse available for every family that needs one. Over the last four years we have experienced exciting and unprecedented growth (more than doubling income to £6.5million). As part of that growth, we are continuing to invest in the Corporate Partnerships team, which works with a variety of companies across the UK to help increase our profile, raise awareness of dementia and raise valuable funds. You will have an opportunity to take ownership of your own accounts and progress through further training and development.

We are currently looking for a talented and passionate professional who is driven in helping to achieve Dementia UK’s aim to recruit 300 Admiral Nurses by 2020 (from 241 nurses currently). It is a really exciting time to join the team and be a part of the charity’s transformational growth.

The details of the role are included in this pack. If you have any queries, please do get in touch for an informal chat.

Best wishes,

Helen CollinsCorporate Partnerships Manager [email protected]
