Beat Medical was founded in 2009 by Shaun Hughston and Leonie Shepstone with a view to radically change healthcare recruitment in Australia by bringing a sense of unparallelled, fanatical customer service to the industry.

The founders of Beat Medical have significant experience in medical recruitment, having worked in a diverse range of industries such as public and private hospitals, outsourced healthcare providers, and the Australian Defence Force. In addition, Shaun is the President of the Association of Medical Recruiters (Australia and New Zealand).

Based in Wollongong, NSW, Beat Medical have always had a focus on regional, rural and remote areas - in Australia and overseas locations such as Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and the Solomon Islands. We also have a strong client base in cities around the region.

Our client approached us to recruit a locum physio for their small practice in regional Victoria to cover some last minute leave. Utilising our developed network of candidates, we identified a suitable candidate who was highly qualified, and eager to join the practice for the start date.
