I Thought…
What do you think?
If your one of those riders who love spinning the tires
and riding fast. This is the book for you. In this book I
have compared five ATV’S down to the last bolt to
make sure what ATV deserve which spot. They were all
very good but there can only be one number one…
Price: $ 13,399 Egine size: 675cc singal cylinder Fuel Delivery: Electronic Fuel Injection
Honda has made lots of four wheelers and
side by sides. Honda brought all of their best
work and features in the Rincon. This is the
best Rincon they’ve ever made, it has the
most features and power than ever before.
5
Honda Rincon
Honda only has three colours for the Rincon, white orange and the famous Honda red.
Quick Fact
The Expert Says… In 2002 Honda introduced the Rincon it was a
fast big bore 650cc single cylinder engine. Then
in 2006 Honda changed the body. Finally in 2009
to present year Honda put a 680cc single
cylinder engine in the Rincon.
Drive Train
Lots of ATV’S have four wheels drive,
Honda does have the option on the
Rincon. The Rincon has the choice of
two wheel and four wheel drive. I
hope next year Honda has a lever so
all four wheels turn at once.
Where Their Made
Honda is a Japanese Based company
that make a lot of off-road vehicles.
Is made Japan just like Yamaha and
Suzuki.
Fuel Capacity
Usually Quads have the average of
17 liters of fuel capacity. The Rincon
can hold 16.8 liters of gas. If you’re
planning on going on a trip over one
hundred kilometers, you should
probably bring more gas.
Power Steering
Most ATVS in this day and age have
power steering to help steer the ATV.
Honda does have power steering, it
helps but it can be improved.

Yamaha is a well-known off-road vehicle
company who has made a lot of great ATVS in
the last couple of years. Yamaha’s best
recreational ATV is the Grizzly. It’s the biggest
of the big in the bear family for Yamaha.
4
Yamaha Grizzly
Yamaha have a good colour choices for the Grizzly, Those coulor choices 2016 are camo, blue, green and metallic gray.
Quick Fact
The Expert Says…
In 1995 Yamaha launched the Grizzly to the bear family. In 2002 The Grizzly had a 660cc single cylinder engine. Then in 2008 The Grizzly became a 700cc single cylinder, fuel injected beast with a new shifter and new body lines. For 2016 the Grizzly has the newest and best look the Grizzly ever had.
Drive Train
All of Yamaha’s ATVS for 2016 have
four wheel drive. The Grizzly defiantly
has four wheel drive, Yamaha has
deferential lock so want the rider
pushes the button in is let’s all four
wheels spin. It comes in handy when
riding in rough trails.
Where Their Made
Yamaha is a Japanese based company,
they make all their ATVS and side by
sides in the U.S.A. even though their
head buildings are in Japan.
Fuel Capacity
Yamaha has a fairly good fuel capacity
for the Grizzly. The ATV holds 18 liter
of gas. As long as the Grizzly is not
hard on gas and the rider is not
planning on going over one hundred
kilometers they should be all right.
Power Steering
For 2016 Yamaha has the choice of
power steering in the Grizzly. This is a
big improvement in the handling of this
ATV. It helps on rough trails. It could
use little work on it though.

Price: $14,599 Engine Size: 952cc flat twin cylinder Fuel Dilivery: Electric Fuel Injection
In 2016 Polaris has put the best ATV engine
they have ever made in the Sportsman it is
952cc fuel injected monster. The lack of
quality of the Sportsman engine is put aside
when Polaris brought this engine to the
market.
3
Polaris Sportsman
The colour choice for the Sportsman in 2016 are matte spruce green with a white star on the gas tank, regular green, red pearl, white and mossy oak camo.
Quick Fact
The Expert Says…
In 1994 Polaris introduce the Sportsman a 500cc single cylinder motor then in 2002. Then in they change the body lines. In 2007 Polaris again changed the body lines and added a 750 flat twin cylinder motor. Finally in 2013 Polaris added a 1000 into the mix.
Drive Train
The Sportsman has an interesting
drive train in 2016. The rider has the
option of all wheel drive and two
wheel drive. It has its ups and downs
because if the switch is broken it will
be stuck in all wheel drive and when
it’s in all wheel drive it’s harder on
gas. But all wheel drive is easier going
through mud.
Where Their Made
Polaris is a U.S.A. based company, who
makes very good ATV’S and side by
sides. They should never stop
manufacturing off-road vehicles in the
U.S.A. because their quality is getting
better every year and they never plan
on stopping.
Fuel Capacity
In 2016 the Sportsman has a fuel
capacity of 19.9 liters, which is very
helpful and useful when going on long
rides. Even last year model could hold
19.9 liters of fuel.
HEADING
Polaris Sportsman xp does have electric
power steering. With a big bike like the
Sportsman that didn’t have power
steering the rider would wish they had
it, that’s why Polaris has added that
facture.

Kawasaki in 2016 has really stepped up to the
plate. The brute-force has gotten better very
year and this year is the best it’s ever been.
This year it has more of everything, from
options, to models. Kawasaki has defiantly
has put the pressure on the other
manufactures to beat their product.
2
Kawasaki Brute-Force
The colour choices in 2016 for the Brute-Force are Kawasaki green, Dark green and black.
Quick Fact
The Expert Says…
In 2002 Kawasaki launched the Brut-Force it has a 600cc single cylinder engine. Then in 2006 Kawasaki changed the body lines and put a 750cc single cylinder engine. Finally in 2013 the Brute-Force changed the body lines and added the 750 v twin cylinder engine.
Drive Train
Kawasaki’s drive train for the Brute-
Force is 2 wheel drive with the option
of 4 wheel drive and there’s
something different about Kawasaki’s
differential, the ATV has a yellow lever
over the throttle that the rider has to
hold in if needing to use it.
Where Their Made
Kawasaki is just like Polaris all of their
off-road vehicles are made in the
U.S.A., Kawasaki has made their ATV’S
in the U.S.A. sense the beginning. They
should never quit making ATVS in the
U.S.
Fuel capacity
Kawasaki has a good size fuel tank in
the Brute-Force of 19 liters. That is
good if the rider is going on a one
hundred kilometer bike ride. But if the
rider is planning on going farther than
that it would be a good idea to bring
extra fuel, just in case.
Electric Power Steering.
One of the best features Kawasaki ever
added to the Brute-Force was power
steering, it helps a lot in a rough trails
and a big bike like the Brute-Force it
was a good idea to ad it.

The 2016 Can-am Outlander XT is one of the
best ATV’S on the market! If you’re one of
those riders who loves lots of power then the
Outlander is the bike for you. It has
everything from power to handling and all
the bells and whistle.
1
Can-am Outlander
In 2016 the Outlander has a colour choice of silver mixed with red, black mixed with blue, camo, yellow and white.
Quick Fact
The Expert Says…
In 2003 Can-am added the Outlander. It was a 400cc single cylinder engine. Then in 2006 Can-am put a 800 v twin cylinder engine and changed the body lines Then in 2013 Can-am again change the body lines and put a 1000 v twin cylinder engine. Now in 2016 the 1000cc has 7 more horse power to 89.
Drive Train
For this year, the Outlander has a
choice of two wheel drive and four
wheel drive. There is an extra feature
on the Outlander it is called Visco
Lock. It makes all four wheels spin at
the same time, that helps a lot when
going through mud and going over
obstacles.
Where Their Made
Can-am is a Canadian based company,
who has made a lot of ATV’S through
the years. They may be a Canadian
company, butt all of their off-road
vehicles now a days are made in
Mexico. All Can-am fans would like
them to be made in Canada like BRP’s
other products.
Fuel Capacity
Can-am has always has had great fuel
capacity on their Outlanders. Yet
again they do with 20 liters of fuel
they can hold. That is really good for a
600 pound ATV. This will help for the
everyday rider saving them having to
full up.
HEADING
Power steering on the Outlander is not
in its prime. The Outlander doesn’t
really need it per say because it is a
great handling ATV. But it does help
when in four wheel drive, in mud or
going over obstacles.

I thought…
1. Do you agree with my ranking? If you don’t, try ranking them yourself. Justify your ranking with data. You may use my criteria or you may use your own. 2. Here are others to consider: Artic cat 1000 xt and Suzuki King Quad 750. Find out more about them. Should they have made my list? Are there others that should be considered?
What do you think?
