Where can you find a fun, caring and understanding instructor who

teaches Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Flash in college? Fr. Charlie, yes, he is a Jesuit, is one of those few gems left. Listening to Fr. Charlie is never a task. He gives step-by-step procedures on how

you do things so that you won’t get lost through the activity. Aside from that,

he will guide you and assist you when you need help. Although he is very light hearted, he strictly follows the deadlines the he sets. So, do not abuse his kindness. If you’ll be patient and diligent, the A

that you want will come in no time.

This is not an easy A course, he is neither an easy A teacher. If you want to get an

A, you have to work hard for it. One thing’s for sure, you will learn a lot from Wilson Gan. Even though the topic, Operations Management, can be really boring, he teaches so well in a way that he makes something interesting. When he teaches he is lively and enthusiastic thus in effect encouraging the students to study and do their best. You can see that he really likes what he is doing.

FR Nick’s European Films and Asian Films classes are considered

among the best electives in the Ateneo. Free movies every week and easily get an A? Although this is said to be an easy A class, Fr. Nick is very strict when it comes to attendance of the students. All he is requiring are two-page papas for the film that you watched. Aside from these requirements, taking one of these two class will seem like a walk in the park.

Expert - aside from these professional titles, he is also a voice talent for commercials and voice over’s. Did I mention that he was the commentator for the Pacquiao - Hatton fight? With all these credentials, you could already consider him as on of the legends in the Ateneo. He definitely knows what he is doing. He teaches in an unconventional way. You will still get some of those powerpoint presentations from time to time, but he never fails to engage the class. Even if he gives a lot of requirements, rest assured those requirements are essential to the course. He only asks you to do what you need to learn. He likes everything straight to the point but never disrespect him – you might just sent out of the class. Attendance is a must. Never be late or absent; he never checks attendance but he remembers. He gives reasonably high grades but getting an A, is not as easy. Overall, having a class with Sev Sarmenta is always filled with funny, witty, intellectual, and all sorts of random things that a student will definitely enjoy.
