Show Notes
You want to put your best face forward to feel fresh and fabulous, to get the job,
keep the job, look vibrant and in line with the cutting edge of fashion. But, it
doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg.
Build a pantry for your skincare just as you would for your kitchen.
You need to have things that are the basic ingredients, such as:
DMAE which is a crystalized powder that can be added to other things, like lotions
and creams. And, Shea Butter, alone or add it to lotions.
It’s easy to customize these things to fit into and tailor into your own needs.
There’s no reason to buy a product that is missing the mark, at all! It’s like wasting
your money. You could buy a very inexpensive lotion and then add DMAE to it if
you want to lift and tone because of sagging skin and fine lines. It actually works!
This is all based on the work by Dr. Perricone who developed the Wrinkle Cure.
But far less expensive.
10 Basic Ingredients
Eggs (for the albumen) put on an oily T-zone for great results.
Yogurt, plain (can be purchased as lactic acid, powdered) exfoliates without
causing any kind of irritation. Place a thin layer on your face, allow it to dry and
wash off. The powdered version has a longer shelf life and easier to store.
Tea bags - (for help with swollen puffy eyes, dark circles) brings down swelling
fast. Tannic acid over time can cause susceptibility to cancer because the skin is so
thin around the eye (according to some sources). So it’s better to use a potato.
Potatoes - Cut the potato and lay it on the eye.
Hyaluronic acid is a protein salt. It draws moisture out from around your eyes.
Add it to any cream or lotion. Don’t use too strong a portion or the skin will stop
making its own moisture. Use at 2 percent solution, maximum.
DMAE is wonderful for skin that is starting to sag. Use it in a cream or serum.
Shea Butter – can be used on everything from hair (small amount) to feet and
hands at night. Raw unrefined Shea Butter has a nutty scent. It’s grown in Africa
as a tree nut. It is taken down and pummeled (that is the cold processing), and
dried on clay. It turns lighter and that takes out part of the scent. Shea Butter is
the main ingredient in lip balms. It really doesn’t need anything extra except a
little wax to keep it on longer. Mineral oil is a petroleum product and it smothers
your skin.
Corn starch - (used in the past ground to a fine mesh on face powder) it’s non-
cosmogenic so it does not clog up your pores and start acne wars on your face.
Better than baby powder. Use in socks.
Baking soda – can be used in the bath, sunburn, when you want to feel that
coolness. It is used as a breath freshener and teeth whitener. Do NOT use the
baking soda in the container that’s been sitting in the fridge as a deodorizer!
Colloidal oatmeal - (Oatmeal that’s been ground up into a fine powder.) used in bath, add to
any lotion, like the Aveeno products. Helps with soothing rash or irritation, chicken pox (cool
bath), sun burn. Can add to hair products, conditioner softens hair.
* Be careful using Witch Hazel, can dry out the skin.
