Past IIW President - Pallavi Shah The annual one day picnic held at the Modi Resort, Karjat was hosted by Anshu and her group Nirmala, Manisha, Hima, Brinda, Kirti, Ramaben and Manpreet. 27 members registered and the bus left the Rotary Centre at 7.00 am. The journey is never too long when friends travel together. President Nita Agrawal conducted her meeting enroute to Karjat. The group announced that they would be giving a sum of 20,000/- towards the annual day celebration of Shruti School. Soon we reached Modi Resort singing and playing games in the bus where a hot healthy breakfast was served. After which we sung Ganesh Aarti since it was the Ganesh Chaturthi month. Member Varsha Trivedi had made a Ganpati which was decorated beautifully with coloured rice by Sejal and Brinda had sent laddoos to complete the puja. The fun began with the games organized by Mona Saraf ….it was MASTI , MASTI and just MASTI. All the members participated in the games sportingly and enjoyed. Lunch was sumptuous but the star dishes were the onion pickle and Sandesh made and brought by Manisha. The members relaxed over lunch. Then the prize distribution to the winners of the games …there were gifts galore, with a vote of thanks by Meera who thanked the hostess and a special thank you to Mona, Sejal and Varsha for adding their charm to the picnic.
