[Blue Stone Dental]

Specialty | General Dentistry with a focus on the entire family. Blue Stone Dental performs all phases of dentistry for young to older patients with a special focus in Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, TMJ pain and Sleep Apnea alternatives, Dental Implants (placement and restoration), “Lock Down” Dentures, Laser Surgery for Gum Disease, Gum Grafting, Root Canal Therapy, as well as Good Ol’ Family Dentistry.

Most Important Qualities of the Doctor-Patient Relationship | The key word is relationship—it requires trust and communication. There are a host of other critical qualities—consistency, compassion, respect, understanding, empathy, patience and being genuine. You’ll find these characteristics from each and every person on our team.

What Sets You Apart | Our advanced training in many areas of dentistry allows us to perform all treatments in one office without the need to refer to specialists for implants, sleep apnea, braces, TMJ, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, dentures or root canals. I also practice Mercury-free and Mercury-safe dental health, and take all the necessary precautions in the removal of old mercury fillings. And, we are now offering Six Month Smiles® Adult Orthodontics that are addressing adult concerns such as the time and appearance of wearing braces. It’s a revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques, modern materials and innovative thought. Six Month Smiles®

utilizes specialized clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth in an average time of just six months (learn more at www.6monthsmiles.com).

Best Advice to Patients | “Don’t wait.” Things rarely get better with time and commonly become more costly and complicated. But, we don’t dwell on the past, so when you’re here you will never be scolded. If you’re nervous about your dentistry, just take things one step at a time. First, pick up the phone and give us a call. Then come in and visit with us. We’ll answer your questions and help you develop a plan that’s comfortable for you.

Best Advice Received | There is more to dental health than just teeth. Oral health care influences and provides signs to the entire body’s health. As a dental physician, I always look beyond the problem by asking “why is there disease?” By answering this question, I can treat the causes such as poor diet, large tonsils, snoring or sleep apnea, small airways or poor jaw alignment.

Greatest Professional Accomplishment We have been awarded Best in Keller four years in a row—2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Also, I was recently awarded my Diplomat Status in the American Dental Implant Association. Less than 2% of members attain this status. But above all, having the opportunity to do what I love to do. Dentistry. And to be able to perform at a high degree of excellence.

Philosophy | Your smile is only the beginning of the treatment you will receive in our office.

Charitable Work | Missionary works include a trip to Dominican Republic where I was a part of a 20 doctor team. We placed over 450 dental implants and performed 80 sinus grafts, as well as an untold number of smaller procedures—all over a three day period. The donated time, materials and equipment totaled over one million dollars. Christian Mission works also include Brazil deep along the Amazon River to also provide health care and dentistry in remote villages. Christ Haven, Community Storehouse and Captain Hope’s Kids are all dear to our hearts.

Mission | To provide our patients the convenience of having the whole family treated in this one location without a need for multiple referrals. To enjoy our time together while providing excellence. To make our patients experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Setting the Standard | We take time to sit and listen to our patients’ goals for their oral health, any fears they may have and how to help them. As a health care team, we pride ourselves in extensive continuing education in order to make our patients feel comfortable and at home.

You Should Know | Rebecca Lauck, DDS: I love what I do! I have wanted to be a dentist since I was only 5-years-old. You could say that being a dentist is a dream come true for me. I feel very privileged to be able to provide orthodontics to my own kids (15-year-old twin boys) and to yours. I get great pleasure every time I see my kids smile. I enjoy providing that to other parents as well.

Specialty | We are a complete modern family dental, implant and orthodontic practice with multiple specialists under one roof. Since we have such a diverse team of dentists and specialists, we provide all facets of dentistry in our office including smile makeovers, full-mouth reconstruction,

cosmetic dentistry, root canals, orthodontic braces, wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, Teeth-in-a-Day and sedation dentistry. We are committed to excellence in service, as well as care and convenience for the families of our community. Families today are busy, and we value our patients’ time, therefore, we are open six days a week and offer extended hours Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Chair-Side Manner | It is an honor when the families of our community select our practice to serve their family’s dental health-care needs. Our goal is to serve every patient with personalized service, and we will do everything we can to foster that treasured relationship to help our patients keep their smiles healthy for a lifetime. We are zealous about serving people. Each of our team

members signs a “Commitment to Excellence” as a way of showing our patients that their health and satisfaction is our main goal.

Best Advice to Patients | We believe in comprehensive dental care. Part of this approach is taking time to educate our patients. Far too often, our first visit with a new patient is when they are in pain caused by years of patching problems and dealing with one tooth at a time. Our focus is to care for the whole person, not just a tooth in a mouth. Therefore, every new patient receives a comprehensive exam, evaluation and treatment plan. They are informed of their dental-health needs, and as partners, we work to preserve and restore their dental health. Success in anything depends on knowledge, and we are passionate about making sure that our patients are well informed about their treatment plan and preventative dental care.

What Sets You Apart | We are a large private practice that includes general dentists and specialists under one roof. This allows us to provide modern dentistry that is more affordable and convenient, eliminating the need to bounce patients from dentist to specialist and office to office. We have hand-picked a talented team of cosmetic dentists, general dentists, orthodontists, a periodontist and a children’s dentist that care for all the generations within a family. Our dentists and specialists work closely with each other with open lines of communication, thus eliminating conflicting approaches and allowing for optimal patient care. Our Keller/Watauga and Southlake/Grapevine locations are conveniently located to serve these family oriented communities. Uniquely, mom can see her dentist for a filling, dad can see the specialist for a dental implant, big brother can get his braces adjusted and little sister can see her pediatric dentist for

her checkup and cleaning—all on a Saturday morning and at the same time.

You Should Know | In addition to making sure our patients receive excellent care with the most technologically advanced dental treatments, we also strive to be competitively priced. Because we are a privately owned large group practice, your dental costs are more affordable, allowing you to get the necessary work completed without the worry of an expensive dental bill.

Specialty | Comprehensive restorative/crown and bridge dentistry with an emphasis in Cosmetic Rehabilitations. All cases are accomplished with comfortable oral sedation, so we can be very efficient with our patient’s busy schedules, as well as putting the most anxious patients at ease.

Important Qualities of Doctor-Patient Relationship | A patient should have the final say as to the level of care that they want to pursue. Decisions made by insurance companies tend to best serve insurance companies. Our practice has no managed care philosophies in place. We are relationship driven. We know our patients by their name, not their insurance coverage.

Professional Memberships / licenses American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Fort Worth District Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Christian Medical Dental Society and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

Why Choose Me | We don’t offer patchwork dentistry. We offer a level of care that is infection free to support overall health. For 29 years, our practice had seen patients from all over the continental USA, as well as many foreign countries. Dr. Gist’s experience and approach to overall systemic health, as it relates to restorative dentistry, is the difference that sets this practice apart.

Charitable Work, Honors or Awards | Started in 1984, Dr. Gist has his own charity

program, Give a Smile for Life. His practice has restored hundreds of smiles at no charge to those in need. Dr. Gist has been named a “Top Doc” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine and a “Best Dentist in America” by Consumer Research Council. Dr. Gist also received the Quintessence Publishing Award at Baylor College of Dentistry for outstanding clinical work in the field of Periodontics and Crown and Bridge Dentistry.

our Mission | To deliver the best service and highest quality of dental care in the world, to patients that are looking for this level of care. To accomplish this in a fun environment, surrounded by the most talented and nurturing support staff in the world. In short, to be a blessing to every patient that God brings us.

What Sets You Apart | The best gift we can give our patient is not only a healthy smile, but a smile and experience that they will feel good about. Ultimately, the way we care for our patients is what seperates us from other offices.

Most Important Qualities of the Doctor-Patient Relationship | We listen to our patient’s needs and concerns and come up with a treatment plan that they are comfortable with and trust.

Best Advice to Patients | Don’t let fear stand in your way of getting what is necessary to improve your oral health and ultimately, overall health. We strive to make every appointment comfortable and easy for our patients.

Why Choose us | We believe that dental care should be a fun and positive experience for everyone. I understand how uneasy some patients feel about their dental visits and how we make a difference in providing a warm, relaxing and comfortable environment. Our practice is family-friendly. When we see one family member, we are seeing the entire family (from grandparents to parents to children). It is important that we get everyone involved and motivated about their health because good dental care shouldn’t end at the dental office, it should extend to home. We strive to be thorough in everything we do—taking the time to get to know our patients, making sure they are well informed and educated of dental procedures, and that they receive quality dental care from the moment they walk through our doors. Our team is dedicated to providing our patients with excellent personalized care and service to make every visit as easy and pleasant as possible. We

provide a broad spectrum of dental care for our patients from preventive to restorative to cosmetic dentistry. To ensure that we stay committed to our high standard of care, we continue to educate ourselves through advance continuing education courses.

Specialty | Prosthodontics—The Tooth Replacement and Esthetic Restoration Specialty. We restore optimum function and appearance to your smile through dental implants, porcelain crowns, inlays, veneers, extractions, crowns, removable complete and partial dentures, fixed bridges and complete oral reconstruction following trauma or surgery.

Chairside Manner | Dr. Paradis is very kind and patient—ethical and honest. He schedules only one patient at a time, doesn’t charge for consultation and he takes as much time as is necessary with each patient. He doesn’t rush anything.

Best Advice to Patients | Be well informed. If you need to have any extensive or

expensive dental treatment, seek the advice of a specialist in that particular field of dentistry before making your decisions.

What is a Prosthodontist | A Prosthodontist is a specialist in the restoration and replacement of teeth. All Prosthodontists are Dentists, but less than one half of 1% of all Dentists are Prosthodontists!

Who Should See a Prosthodontist | You should see a Prosthodontist if you are a patient who has advanced or complex dental needs, or if you have been told that you need your front six to eight teeth veneered or crowned for cosmetic reasons. Or you may have been told that you need to have your ‘bite rebuilt.’ Other reasons include the need

for dentures, trouble with your dentures or if you are considering dental implants for missing teeth.

What Separates You from others in Your Field | That we do both the Surgical and the Restorative phases of implant treatment in just one office location. Dr. Paradis makes his own dentures (literally, he makes them himself—no lab). He also places his own implants and administers the IV sedation for his patients.

Professional Memberships / licenses Dr. Paradis is a board certified Prosthodontist. He is board certified by The American Board of Oral Implantology and is certified in Conscious IV Sedation.
