CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
According to their form, there are four types of conditional sentences:
• T!E ": If a #a#y cries, he is hungry$ %If clause: simple present & main clause:
simple present'
• T!E (: If it rains, )e*ll stay at home$ %If clause: simple present & main clause:
future tense'• T!E +: If you came home earlier, )e could hae dinner together$ %If clause:

.ut according to their meaning, there are only t)o /inds of conditional sentences: realand unreal$ 0eal Conditional descri#es real1life situations$ 2nreal Conditional descri#esunreal, imaginary situations$ Although the arious conditional forms might seem 3uitea#stract at 4rst, they are actually some of the most useful structures in English and are
commonly included in daily conersations.
Present Real Conditional
