Love God, Love others - fulfilling the great commission by obeying the great commandment

Happy New Year everyone!

2015 is well and truly underway, and we trust that this

newsletter finds you and your families strong, healthy and

enjoying the Lord’s favour this year!

REAL – REALSummer, REALExec, God’s Not Dead, Prayer and Fasting

Just when I thought I could “hang up my boots” for the summer, the REAL campus students asked “What’s happening

for summer”? They wanted to continue meeting, learning the word and encouraging one another. So we created

“REALSummer”. We’ve had 5 great fortnightly sessions, mostly co-lead by the students. We are all very excited for

the start of term in March.

The REAL student Executive team have met once to plan for the year and will meet again this week to prepare for an

amazing year ahead.

As mentioned in previous newsletters, we are putting on a free screening of the movie

God’s Not Dead in a 385 seat auditorium at AUT as part of our Orientation outreach.

This is followed by a 3 week sermon series on apologetics at church by Historian Dr

Adam Claasen of Massey University. We are believing for God to touch hearts, minds

and spirits and more disciples to be added to His king-

dom.

Last week, we had a prayer meeting at AUT, where church family had the opportunity to

pray on site for the youth of NZ and specifically for the young people within our church.

MORE MISSIONARIES!

As you know, the Ministry of Partner-

ship Development (MPD) equips and

sends more missionaries into the mis-

sion field. Almost one year to the date

of Reeta and I being trained, I was part

of a team of four to run the 2015 train-

ing session. We had representatives

from Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney

and Melbourne. Thank you Lord for

sending workers into the harvest fields.

DREAMING AND PLANNING FOR KINGDOM GROWTH

During the early part of February, Every Nation Auckland Central key leaders got together in beautiful Papamoa (Bay

of Plenty) for a time away to enjoy each other’s company, to dream, to plan, and to strategize for this year and the

years to come. We had the privilege of having two of our key leaders of Every Nation Asia Pacific come from the Phil-

ippines to guide us through our strategic planning. We now have simple, clear focuses for the year and events to de-

liver to that plan. Did you know that God is a planner?!!

Love God, Love others - fulfilling the great commission by obeying the great commandment

Tylah Mendoza’s Testimony Insecurity was what I struggled with the most before I had an authentic relationship with Jesus. Relationships, drugs, alcohol, parties and image were some of the temporary things that gave me momentary pleasure and left me with more hurt and insecurities. My life radically changed through God’s mercy and grace by sending five different people to me while I was on campus. Four of which were uni-versity students who shared the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I was overwhelmed by God’s love and challenged about where I would spend eternity. Knowing the truth enabled me to receive God’s forgiveness, repent of my sins and put my trust in Jesus alone. At the age

of twenty, I invited Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour. I understood the debt of my sins and the great provi-sion of God through His son Jesus. As a follower of Christ, I am now secure of my identity in Him. I know that my security comes from Him alone. He has shown me my value and worth as a woman and a child of God. I am confident that I will go to heaven because of what Jesus did for me. This encounter with Christ has stirred in me a passion to answer the call of God to go into full time voca-tional ministry as a cross cultural missionary. My desire is to honour God in everything that I do and share the gospel to people I meet. I know that the grace and confidence to do His will only come from Him. in School of World Mission in Manila Phillipines,
