He likes going to his grandmother’s house, because they have dinner and hold a party.

She is so good with everyone!

Every year, Grandma gives Jerry money and presents.

But now, Jerry Gale is a teenage

boy, and he is very bored in his grandsmother’s

house.

She is in the garden with her

cat Benjamin, and she has

decided to make a good dinner.

In the table there are chicken legs, fried eggs, juice…

And there arejelly beans and bagels too.

Grandma always has a lot of sweets, but Jerry doesn’t like it because they have a lot of sugar.

It is a “jack-o’-lantern”

with horrible eyes, a big

mouth and a little nose.

The pumpkin is illuminated

with a little candle.

At night, Jerry’s Grandma gives him a gift.

It is a strange present.

Jerry says:

-Oh! … Great!-What a beautifulpumpkin!

But he lyes because he hates “jack-o’-lanterns”Is Jerry happy with

When he is in bed, there is a noise down the stairs.

The noise wakes him up. It is midnight.

- What ‘s wrong? What’s happening here?- I can’t sleep! - he shouts…

But no one hear him.

He goes to the first floor down the stairs, but when he is there he doesn’t hear anything.

- Hello? Is there someone there? There ‘s no light here!

And he thinks in something brightly: the “jack-o’-lantern”!

He had forgotten the pumpkin with the little candle.

When he has the “jack-o’-lantern”,

he uses a lighter to light the candle

inside the pumpkin.

Then, he takes the brightly pumpkin

There is someone or something strange there.

Jerry hids himself behind the door. He looks outside and says:

-Get out! … But the strange shadow is still there, waiting.

Then, he opens the door.

At the door, there is a girl wearing a witch dress and a witch hat.

But Jerry is not scared,

because he likes the girl

and he discovers that

it is only a Halloween

joke!

A halloween joke that

makes the girl and Jerry starting to laugh.

They fall in love from the very beginning…

Yes, they are married today because they love each

other since that night.
