Fire Extinguishers

RES provides a comprehensive range of new fire extinguishers and fire extinguisher accessories to meet all your requirements

All new fire extinguishers are manufactured to European Standard EN3 Guaranteed for five years by the manufacturer

RES specialises in the service of portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, trolley units and fire

All work certified by our BAFE registered technicians

All makes and types of fire extinguishers can be refilled at your premises or at our workshop by our trained engineers and fully equipped service vans.

We can provide the short-term hire of fire extinguishers and stands for up to six months for most types of fire extinguisher.

Fire Safety Training

We offer basic training on your premises’ relevant fire extinguishers, by way of a talk and demonstration of each piece of equipment in a suitable location outside.

RES provide a selection of tailored training courses to cover all aspects of Fire safety training

Fire safety training for staff is a requirement in the UK under the Fire Safety Order 2005.

Fire Safety Signage

RES provide an extensive range of JALITE fire safety signs and fire safety signage solutions that are designed to conform to British and International Standards. We are an authorised distributor of Jalite signs.

All fire safety signs can be advised on, supplied and installed to meet current legislation. Your building’s fire signage can be assessed during your annual service visit or by our dedicated Fire Safety Signage Engineer.

Fire Alarms

Our in house engineers provide a complete fire alarm service from fire alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems to British Standard 5839 Part 1 and Part 6 (Dwellings).

An appropriate FD&A (Fire Detection and Alarm) system will warn everyone in the building at the earliest opportunity so that they can exit the building or follow other instructions that are issued, and to also alert the Fire Brigade to allow early intervention.

Additional works ensuring the compliance of systems, fire alarm checks, fault finding and training are also specialist areas our experienced and skilled engineers undertake.

Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting is essential for the safety of building occupants where a sudden loss of light would prevent safe passage from the premises.

The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 states that all types of premises except individual dwellings must: Adequately illuminate designated escape routes Provide sufficient illumination in other areas to allow safe movement towards and through escape routes Ensure that all fire alarm call points, fire fighting equipment and other safety equipment can be readily located and used Provide sufficient light to enable proper shut down procedures to be carried out in dangerous or high risk areas Our engineers provide a complete service from design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of emergency lighting systems

Extinguishing Systems

RES can organise and co-ordinate servicing, maintenance, refilling, design and installation of all types of fixed fire-fighting systems permanently installed in buildings for the purpose of controlling, suppressing or extinguishing fires, by either automatic or manual discharge of a fire extinguishing medium.

Dry Riser & Hydrant Testing

We provide the Inspection and testing of dry risers and private underground fire hydrants to BS9990: 2006 to ensure the systems and associated equipment are in satisfactory condition and ready for immediate use at all times.

Dry Risers

RES undertakes all aspects of the Dry Riser servicing and maintenance works to British Standards using our own competent engineers and Dry Riser testing appliances.

Hydrant TestingRES can undertake all aspects of Fire Hydrant and associated equipment (brigade fittings, flat lay hoses etc) servicing and maintenance works to British Standards using our own competent engineers and Fire Hydrant testing equipment.

Fire Doors

Effective fire-resisting doors are vital to ensure occupants are able to evacuate to a safe place.

Correctly specified and installed doors will hold back fire and smoke, preventing escape routes becoming unusable as well as preventing the spread of fire.

Our team of engineers can install and maintain a variety of fire doors to meet your requirements.

Fire Risk Assessments

Fire Risk Assessments and 'FRA' reviews carried out to the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, effective from 1st October 2006 by our in-house qualified and competent person. Identify the hazards.
