When you think of books that are fun to read, with a rhyme, and just plain fun, you think of Dr. Seuss books. Read Across America Day was designed to foster the love of reading in all children. This is day that was chosen was March 2 Read Across America is supported by the National Education Association, Washington Education Associatiogroups and organizations. On or around March 2

Last year, our Dr. Seuss Night was so much fun; we wanted to do it again. We had great activities, great readers, and great fun. This year we are continuing our tradition by bringing a new twist to the many works of Dr. Seuss. Did you know that many of Dr. Seuss’ bookbased on current events and satires of realistic things. We are going to compare and contrast many of the works of Dr. Seuss with real stories and real events. As Dr. Seuss Fiction goes uall the action! Who will win?! Activities such as painting, drawing, reading, moving, figuring (math), cooking, mapping, and many more will accompany each stationed activity. Travel around to each eveHave a great time!

This is accomplished with reading activities all day long on a particular day. The day that was chosen was March 2nd. This was the day that Dr. Seuss was born.

Read Across America is supported by the National Education Association, Washington Education Association, Auburn School District, Lakeland Hills Elementary, and many more groups and organizations. On or around March 2nd, you will find fun activities involving

reading going on all over the country.
