Reaction Paper The classic novel of Lewis Carol, “Alice in Wonderland” is one of the stunning literary works in the late 80’s. The witty charm of Alice, the placid disposition of the rabbit, the elusive nature of the cat, the irascible temperament of the Red Queen and of course, the mystical kingdom of Wonderland has been inculcated in the heart of our young boys and girls, including me. I’ve already read this novel just about seven years ago. I’m astounded after reading this, I felt that I’m plunged inside a rabbit hole and teleported in the magical kingdom of Wonderland. The movie “Alice in Wonderland”, immortalized by Tim Burton, one of the most splendid director in the 20 th century, is one of the most humorous movie that I’ve ever watched. The plot was awfully breathtaking, especially to the scenes where the Mad Hatter and Doorhouse (the mouse) has been guillotined and Alice valiantly fought against the ferocious Jabberwocky; the characters were vivid and lively, especially the theatrical elements like back-drop, animation, etc and 3D features. Alice in Wonderland is a fun ride that you wouldn’t mind getting on once, but you’d hold off until the DVD to get on again. The performances are great, the music is fantastic, the visuals are polished, but the story is essentially the same. It’s the same Alice she’s just in a new outfit. But even though it’s not the greatest movie it’s still worth a viewing and the youngsters will definitely enjoy it. I’ve learn many things from this movie. This movie evokes the importance of spirit of heroism and bravery against all those odds. She proves that even though she was a petite girl and a weakling, she still faces her fate and defeats the Jabberwocky, and brings to an end to Red Queen’s tyranny. Like what Alice quoted: “There's a potion that can make you small. There's a cake that can make you grow. Animals can talk. Cats can disappear.

I’ve learn many things from this movie. This movie evokes the importance of spirit of heroism and bravery against all those odds. She proves that even though she was a petite girl and a weakling, she still faces her fate and defeats the Jabberwocky, and brings to an end to Red Queen’s tyranny. Like what Alice quoted:

“There's a potion that can make you small. There's a cake that can make you grow.

Animals can talk.Cats can disappear.

There's a place called Wonderland.I can slay the Jabberwocky."

The spirit of unity and solidarity illustrated in the movie proves that we can do everything together. No man is an island. Yes, we are all different to each other; we are all different in genetic make-up, personality, intelligence, behavior, emotionality, etc. but still, we are all created by our God; comes from a worthless mud with his sacred Breath of Life. Alice, together with his companions, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Tweedledum and Tweedledee etc. they joined force together, and bring the long-lasting freedom that they longing for. I recommend this movie to my little brothers to watch. High-five to Mr. Burton!!!
