Welcome back, members!Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation will follow CDC, state and local guidelines for a phased in re-opening of our seven community recreation centers.

Important Membership InformationPurchase memberships online and over the phone
Membership options now include a 30-day pass for $21 for residents ($43 for non-residents)
Month-to-Month memberships are no longer available, but current M2M members with a recurring credit card payment on file as of Sep 15 will be allowed a legacy option to maintain their membership

Reduced CapacityMaximum occupancy varies by area and activity, but generally 30% of capacity or less than 22 participants (whichever is less while maintaining 10-feet of distancing in the weight rooms and pools)

How to access the centers• Reservations are required and will be taken online only
(with the exception of racquetball)
• Members who have trouble accessing their online account may call any recreation center for assistance
• Members may sign up for up to 4 activities/time slots per week, Mon-Sun; also may call day of for any cancellations or capacity to add usage beyond 4 reservations.
• All activities are 1-hour blocks except group fitness classes which are 45 minutes
• Registration will open each Friday at 12pm for reservations for the following week and close at 4am the day of the activity
• If you need to cancel a reservation, please call a rec center or email [email protected]

Accessing your online account• If you successfully access your account, no further action
is needed.
• If you don’t remember your password, select ‘Forgot Your Password’ and follow the prompts to gain access.
• If you have haven’t logged in to the system before, try entering your email as your login name. Then, select the ‘Forgot your Password’ link from the login screen to retrieve a temporary password via email to access your account.
• Do not create a new account. All current memberships are associated with an online account even if you have not activated/accessed the account previously. Consequently, creating a new account would not be associated with your membership and will not allow you to make reservations.
• If you do not have an email on file with us, please call any recreation center for assistance.
Heath & Safety Precautions• Staff will be following enhanced cleaning and
disinfecting protocols between each reservation timeslot.
• 10-foot physical distancing will be enforced in exercise areas (CDC guideline for indoor exercising).
• Multiple entrances/exits will be used for building access, so please follow the posted directional signage when you arrive and stay in your vehicle until the time of your reservation.

Heath & Safety Precautions• All staff must wear face coverings.
• Members MUST wear a face covering when entering or moving around the building, but they are not required while exercising.
• Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building.

Health ScreeningPlease stay at home if you have any of the following symptoms:
• Cough • Shortness of breath • Fever • Chills • Repeated shaking and chills • Muscle pain • Headache • Sore throat• Loss of taste or smell

What to expect when you enter the rec centerLobby/Customer Service• A staff member will greet and check you in at your
reserved time• No membership cards will be scanned• All activities require online reservation (except
racquetball, call to reserve)• Touchless water bottle filling stations available at
most locations; water fountains are closed• Follow floor markers and signs directing traffic flow
within center

• Max 1 hour per session; 15 mins of cleaning after each session
• Some equipment will be blocked off or removed for distancing
• 10-foot physical distancing enforced
• Free weights and plate-loaded equipment now available
• Users are asked to clean the equipment before and after each use to minimize risks
• Personal Training now available

Group Fitness• Online reservations only• Available only to Premier, SilverSneakers,
Silver & Fit, and Renew Active members• Maximum up to 10 individuals provided
10-foot physical distancing possible• All equipment will be provided, set up by
staff, and sanitized following each class• Virtual fitness programs to continue • Maintain 10-foot physical distancing

• Non-contact activities permitted include pickleball, badminton, and table tennis (need to bring your own racquet, paddle, balls and other equipment)
• At this time, high contact activities including basketball, volleyball and soccer are unavailable

• Aqua fitness tracks, family swim, and diving boards available
• Only swimmers with reservations will be allowed in the pool area
• Come dressed to swim
• Please use designated shower to rinse off before entering and after exiting the pool
