Dear Future DentistHello and Welcome!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your

teachers for coming to this new and very exciting

event, which we are hosting here in Dublin, at the

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

The Faculty of Dentistry is not a dental school but

we have over 2500 affiliates and we do provide

education, help with training and examinations for

future dentists here in Ireland, the United Kingdom

and internationally with centres in Ajman, Bahrain,

Khartoum, Malmo, New York, and Qatar.

We take our role in dental education and our

responsibility to the public (and to those who are

thinking of becoming a dentist) very seriously and

we think today is an excellent opportunity for you

to learn about the science and art of dentistry and

the possible careers you might choose to have as a

dentist in the future.

The teams from the Dental Schools in Trinity College

Dublin, University College Cork and Queens University

Belfast will be here to give you more information on the

day.

That future may seem a long way off, but this is the

beginning of your journey as you try to decide on

what you want to do. We hope we can help you along

that road by assisting you in providing the information

you need to help inform your decisions.
