• We have a proud rail history dating back to the 1980’s through O’Donnell Griffin. Since our involvement in the rail industry commenced we have been involved in some of Australia’s most significant rail infrastructure projects.

• RCR Infrastructure have a truly national footprint with offices in all major states. Testing and Commissioning
RCR Infrastructure can also offer comprehensive signalling testing and commissioning services. We also boast an in-house software testing facility providing our clients with a service to simulate a series of tests to verify software integrity. RCR boasts an enviable track record in the delivery of specialist high voltage traction
installation projects. In the last seven years, RCR has completed the electrical equipping
and commissioning of fifteen (15) traction substations making it one of Australia’s most
experienced HV rail contractors.
We can offer solutions for single scope installations through to complex multi-discipline turn-key power distribution and traction supply projects inside of the rail corridor.
Our team includes specialist high voltage project managers, engineers, supervisors, substation attendants, cable jointers, testers and commissioning staff that have the knowledge and experience necessary to manage complete turnkey substation and High Voltage traction power projects from civil and building works up to full commissioning into service. RCR Infrastructure has been involved in the delivery of many complex multi-discipline rail station and tunnel services projects that at times require a combination of rail systems and services expertise to successfully engineer and design, plan and deliver the project scope. RCR’s national footprint across Australia and New Zealand allows it to combine its local workforce and mobile industry specialists to create teams of exceptional capability, experience and performance.
Recent Experience
Wynyard Station (Novo Rail)
As a key member of the Novo Rail Alliance RCR has been instrumental in the delivery of the Wynyard station upgrade project. The project scope includes upgrade of the HVAC, Lighting, HV/LV, Communications, Security and Fire systems. The recent extension of the project scope to include the installation of new escalators and a spot cooling system along the rail platforms is further endorsement that RCR are a reliable and specialist contractor playing a fundamental role in the delivery of the complex brownfield rail project.
Legacy Way (Road Tunnel)
RCR completed their scope for this project in 2015. The work for RCR involved the delivery of all Mechanical and Electrical Services along the twin 4.6km tunnel and surface works including installation of over 180 jet, axial and cross passage fans and over 10,000m of pipework for the wet fire system. RCR completed over 1,000,000 man hours delivering its scope without an LTI.
