Post-war, several ex-Luftwaffe aircraft were flattened with a bulldozer and buried at RCAF Station Aylmer.

A former Me-262 is reportedly partly under a building and partly under a parking lot at what's now the

Ontario Police College, but all that's there is scrunched-up aluminum scrap, so there's no point in excavating

it, even if it were possible. This rare photo shows a German V-1 in RCAF markings for "AIRCRAFT

ARMAMENT EXPERIMENTAL DETACHMENT" or "CENTRAL EXPERIMENTAL AND PROVING

ESTABLISHMENT" (or just "EXPERIMENTAL AND PROVING ESTABLISHMENT" depending on the
