We open doors to opportunity

El centro de RCMA Zellwood CDC

celebró la semana de la lectura, en

Florida! Enero 26-30, 2015

Acompañamos la coalición de aprendizaje de

edad temprana del condado de Orange

ofreciendo actividades durante esta semana

para promover la

literatura. Las

familias llevaron

libros a casa de la

biblioteca circulante

para compartir con

sus niños en casa. El

día Martes en nuestro

grupo de ayuda a los

padres, ellos crearon

“Papi y yo” libros

sobre cosas que ellos

disfrutaron hacer con

sus niños.

Participamos en

varios lecturas del libros “¡No dejes que

la Paloma conduzca

el autobús!” para

infantes y niños

pequeños, y “Tiempo

de dormir” para pre-

escolares el

miércoles, Enero 28th

a las 9:am.

Durante el resto de la

semana leímos los

libros de Dr. Seuss y

planeamos actividades que

iban con el tema de los cuentos

de los libros. El evento

principal de la celebración fué

la visita del gato en el

sombrero cuando los niños lo

saludaron y bailaron en grupo.

RCMA Zellwood CDC

celebrated Literacy Week, Florida!

January 26-30, 2015

We joined the Early Learning Coalition of

Orange County providing activities during this

week to promote literacy. The families took

books home from

the lending library

to share with their

children at home.

On Tuesday at our

Father Support

Group the dads

created books

“Daddy and Me”

about things they

enjoy doing with

their children.

We participated in a

simultaneous

reading of the

books “Don’t Let

the Pigeon Drive

the Bus!” For

Infants and

Toddlers, and

“Time to Sleep” for

Preschoolers on

Wednesday,

January 28th at

9:00am.

During the rest of

the week we read Dr. Seuss

books and planned activities to

go along with the stories.

The celebration’s main event

was the visit of the Cat in the

Hat when children greeted him

and danced in large group

Picturing America-

Winter side walk Museum

Picturing

America is a

great opportunity

to introduce

Parents and

children to fine

arts, picture

galleries and

museums. Its

also a way to be

aware of the

beauty in

different kinds of

arts. We connect

these pictures to

the classroom

unit theme to

support and

scaffold the

children at their

level. The

pictures are rich

in colors and

details

promoting

language, Social

skills, cultural

awareness and parent-

children relationship. As

teachers we are always eager

to provide this type of

exciting activities to enhance

the knowledge and increase

growth and development.

Imaginando a

América es una

gran oportunidad

para introducir

padres y niños al

fino arte. Galerías

de fotos y museos.

Es también una

forma de conocer

la belleza en

diferentes clases

de artes.

Conectamos los

dibujos a la

unidad del tema

de la clase para

apoyar e integrar

los niños a su

nivel. Los dibujos

son ricos en

colores y detalles

promoviendo el

lenguaje,

habilidades

sociales,

conocimiento

cultural y

relaciones de padre-

hijo. Como maestras estamos

siempre ansiosas por dar este

tipo de actividades para

expandir el conocimiento e

incrementar crecimiento y

desarrollo. Water Lilies by Claude Monet

Bowling Green Honra a

Martin Luther King

Todo el centro participó en un desfile. Cada

clase hiso una actividad diferente para

mostrar sobre Martin

Luther King.

Cuando el gran día

llegó había música y

bailando los niños

desfilaban al ser

observados por sus

padres con mucho

orgullo.

La maestra

Roseangely Baque

leyó una historia sobre

Martin Luther King y

le dio la oportunidad a

cada niño de decir

cual era su sueño. Aun

el niño mas pequeño

tubo un sueño para

compartir. Fué muy

especial para todo el

centro.

Bowling Green Honors

Martin Luther King

To celebrate Martin Luther King day the

whole center had a parade. Each

classroom did a

different activity to

display about

Martin Luther

King.

When the big day

came their was

music and dancing

as the children

paraded as their

parents watched

with pride.

The mentor

teacher,

Roseangely

Baque read a

story about MLK

and had each

child a chance to

tell what their

dreams were.

Even the

smallest child had a dream to share. It

was very special for the whole center.
