Robert Burns
In his poem ‘To a Louse’, Burns describes a lady named Jenny, who was walking down the aisle in church. She thought everyone was looking at her because she was so beautiful - but in reality they were staring at her because on her hat was a ginormous, unhygienic insect - a horrible looking Louse.
This inspired him to write:
"Please Lord give us the gift to see ourselves as others see us"

Business Planning Tip No. 3aGive 100% Commitment
John Richardson
John Richardson, who had golf handicap of 24 set himself the target of playing a par round of golf within a year - he achieved this and then wrote a book named ‘Dream On’, which has become a best seller.
He was 100% committed because he had announced to the world on the internet what he was trying to achieve - Not to achieve his target would have been extremely humiliating.

Sir Ranulph puts his achievements down to 100% commitment - he quotes the Scots Philosopher, William Murray :
“ Until one is committed there is hesitancy - the chance to draw back - always ineffectiveness. The moment one definitely commits oneself - then providence moves too - all sorts of things happen to help one that would otherwise never have occurred”.

Bill Gates
Gates admits that Microsoft should have changed their plans to build their own search engine – by not doing so they lost out heavily to Google.
In the beginning Microsoft’s mission was to have “a computer on every desk and in every home..”
