Tehnički zahtjevi
E-learning tečajevi najčešde koriste tzv. Playere, besplatne programčide koji omogudavaju pokretanje multimedijalnog tečaja
Neki playeri su nam ved na računalu, a neke trebamo sami instalirati, ovisno o tome s kojom tehnologijom je kreiran određeni e-learning tečaj
Automatska detekcija prije ili prilikom prvog pokretanja tečaja da li je računalo adekvatno pripremljeno za pokretanje tečaja, pružanje linka za preuzimanje onoga što nedostaje
Najčešde player može instalirati samo osoba koja je administrator na računalu: na kudnim računalima su to najčešde njihovi vlasnici, a u tvrtkama informatičke službe
Osim instaliranja potrebnih playera, pripremu računala za korištenje tečajeva ponekad uključuje i:
o Dodavanje pristupnih adresa u Trusted Sites
o Isključivanje Popup blokera
o Dodatna podešavanja Security opcija Internet preglednika
Snaga računala više nije kritičan faktor, sva današnja računala zadovoljavaju minimalne zahtjeve za pokretanje tečajeva
Brzina Internet veze također više nije kritičan faktor, prije desetak godina je zahtjev za komforan rad na tečaju bio najmanje ISDN. Današnje brzine koje se nude na tržištu su više nego dovoljne za korištenje tečajeva
Za neke tečajeve i metode edukacije važan je parametar kvaliteta Internet veze: često je sporija Internet veza koja ima manje izgubljenih paketa (koje pak treba poslati ponovo) kvalitetnija za gledanje multimedijalnih tečajeva online od nominalno brže Internet veze, ali s vedim brojem paketa koji zalutaju (http://speedtest.net i http://pingtest.net)
Za potpuni doživljaj i komfor prilikom učenja važno je imati dovoljno veliki zaslon, odnosno rezoluciju zaslona uređaja. Tečajevi se najčešde kreiraju za procijenjenu najmanju rezoluciju koju vedina potencijalnih korisnika ima, a najčešde treba paziti ukoliko imate 12“ zaslon na svom notebooku – pritom postoji opasnost da dijelove tečaja nedete mode vidjeti
VAŽNO! Raspitajte se prije kupnje tečaja o zahtjevima za računalo, ali i tehničkoj podršci tijekom perioda učenja. Ovo je posebno važno s obzirom da tečaj možete koristiti s više različitih uređaja (na poslu, kod kude, kod prijatelja, u školi,...).

Upišite si u kalendar raspored učenja kao što bi to inače za Vas napravio predavač, nastavnik ili profesor
Velika prednost e-learninga je što materijale za učenje možete prolaziti tempom koji vama odgovara, a ne kojeg je zadao predavač, nastavnik ili profesor
Predviđena trajanja učenja ne moraju biti uvijek jednaka, upravo suprotno.
Za završiti e-learning tečaj uobičajeno je potrebno 2-5 sati, ali koncepcija e-learning tečajeva je takva da se tečaj sastoji od lekcija koja je svaka za sebe jedna zaokružena cjelina i koju je preporučljivo savladati u jednoj sesiji.
S obzirom da je vrijeme potrebno za savladavanje jedne lekcije 10-ak minuta, toliko može biti i planirano vrijeme za učenje.
PAZITE! Najčešda pogreška korisnika e-learning tečaja je da prednost “e-learning je dostupan kad god vam treba” zamijene s “kad du imati vremena”

Radno mjesto prepuno je stvari i događaja koji ometaju u radu ili učenju – telefon, posjetitelji i slično
Smetnje otežavaju i fokusiranje na samo učenje
Preporuke:
o Ukoliko je to mogude, uključite na svom telefonu prosljeđivanje poziva na govornu poštu, a dodatno je preporučljivo snimiti i glasovnu poruku kojom dete pozivateljima dati do znanja da ste trenutno zauzeti i da dete im se javiti uskoro
o Stavite papirnatu obavijest na ulazna vrata ili svoj stol, napišite da ste trenutno zauzeti i da ostave poruku kako biste im se javili kasnije
o Ukoliko se ipak dogodi situacija u kojoj morate prekinuti s učenjem, sjetite se da de e-learning tečaj upamtiti mjesto gdje ste stali, pa možete jednostavno nastaviti s učenjem kasnije.

Microsoft Partners in Learning partner godine 2005 - Tvrtka Cognita dobila je priznanje kao Partners in Learning partner za 2005. godinu.
