Control of paint stock and equipment, all C.O.S.H.H. and daily liaisons with shore through Computer for daily timesheets, daily reports, and e-mails. Also daily correspondences with Marine supervisor and O.I.M. also control of all relevant paperwork.

1998 (March-July)PAINTSPEC Painting Supervisor.A five-month assignment for a company that specialises in painting/blasting/spraying. This position involved working in the Falkland Islands on the Borgny Dolphin Drilling Rig, using Jotun paint system.

1997 (August-November)P.I.H. PIPELINE INDUCTION HEAT Coating Technician Shift Supervisor. A three-month assignment involving the spraying of F.B.E (FUSION BONDED EPOXY) and P.P. (POLYPROPELENE) on lay barge KUROSHIO TWO offshore in Thailand for TOTAL OIL THAILAND. Duties included teaching inexperienced local employees to spray and use P.I.H equipment; service and maintain all diesel P.I.H equipment including generators, compressors etc.

1996-1997 (December-July) P.I.H. (PIPELINE INDUCTION HEAT) Coating Technician Shift Supervisor.A seven-month assignment involving the spraying of F.B.E. (FUSION BONDED EPOXY) and P.P. (POLYPROPELENE) on lay barges offshore and swamp work onshore in Borneo for TOTAL OIL INDONESIA. Duties as above.

1996 (October-NovemberSLUMBERGER (DUNDEE)A two-month assignment-driving forklift trucks for a company that makes fuel pumps for the worldwide market. This was a temporary position that involved moving stores to new locations.

1996 (May-SeptemberP.I.H. (PIPELINE INDUCTION HEAT) REFER TO CVThis was a five-month position working in Algeria on the second phase of the BECHTEL SONATRACH, Maghreb to Europe 48” GR 2 pipeline another 600 kilometres.

1995-1996 (Dec-April)W.L. GORE & ASSOCIATES (UK) LTD, DUNDEE. Painter / Shot blaster / Sprayer.Duties included shot blasting vessels, holding tanks, pipes and steel structures for onshore/offshore and chemical/pharmaceutical installations to SA3. Spraying above parts using: BINKS model 18, 62, BBR. BINKS airless and air assisted spray units HAWK4B 30-1, VANTAGE. 12-1, WAGNER airless 32 1500, GRACO Tri Spray 63/1. 1995 (June-Nov)P.I.H PIPELINE INDUCTION HEAT Painter / Shot blaster / Sprayer.This position involved working in Algeria on the BECHTEL SONATRACH, Maghreb to Europe 48” GME Pipeline Project. Work consisted of operating HYDRO-CATT (PROTEGOL) spraying container fabricated by TRI-SPRAY. It also involved blasting and spraying “PROTEGOL” on 48” Pipe work for 550 kilometres. Returned home at the

1993-1994B.P.S. OFFSHORE, ABERDEEN Painter / Shot blaster / SprayerThis position involved working offshore for seven months on “MARATHON-EAST BRAE” hook-up. Duties included blasting, spraying and painting using Leigh’s paint systems.

1992-1993R.G.C. FABRICATION YARD, METHIL, LEVEN, FIFEThis position involved spraying and blasting on “The BRUCE” using Ammeron and International paint systems and Cold Tar Spray system. Worked on two jackets- “The SHELL NELSON” and “The MARATHON EAST BRAE” using hot metal spray, anti-fouling paint and cold tar systems. All above work carried out to controlled thickness.

1985-1992W.L. GORE & ASSOCIATES (UK) LTD, DUNDEE. Painter / Shot blaster / Sprayer.Duties included shot blasting vessels, holding tanks, pipes and steel structures for onshore/offshore and chemical/pharmaceutical installations to SA3.
