How to manage the data flow in a clever way
Introduction
Connectivity & Data Handling There is a growing interest in wireless data handling like:Bluetooth and WLAN.
With these technologies RAVAS can provide data to ERP systems to fully maximise the advantages of Mobile Weighing
RAVAS Importers should be able to provide correct and detailed information to the customer in order to help him create the right IT solutions in combination with right RAVAS mobile scales.

RAVAS indicators can be equipped with a RS 232 interface to connect to a range of printers.
Fixed and flexible lay-outs (ind 6100) are available Single paper – double paper – adhesive labelText and barcode fonts are available

RAVAS scale connected by cable to a on-board WiFi data Terminal All data is handled by the host system using a WLAN networkThe RAVAS indicator is being polled for the weight when needed
Or the customer changes his software program to poll the indicator Or we supply UniMobile-Connect and using a F
key, the operator can transfer the actual weight information into the data entry field of the terminal ( using the keyboard
register – like a barcode reader ) Polling = send the characters GG to the indicator - the
indicator response back with the actual weight instantaneously ( does not wait for stable reading )

RAVAS scale with Bluetooth bi-directional interface
Customer software OR UniMobile software on the PDA will poll the indicator for the weight ( GG ) 3 times per second this will
create a second display of the weight – one on the indicator and one on the PDA
We can work ‘stand-alone’ with the PDA as data terminal - optional we can use an local Bluetooth printer.
Optional the PDA can be integrated in a WLAN network. With UniWin we can create a full data handling system with ‘real time’ data handling in the PC. Alternatively we can work with UniSync. This allows for working in a non WLAN area and when
back in the WLAN are we can activate a full data synchronisation action ( exchange of CSV files ) with the PC
optional USB cable3

WLAN ERP, WMS or UniWin
RAVAS scale with WLAN data interface
The hose IT system ( or UniWin) will poll the indicator directly from the central application (server) for the weight.
The operator can use a PDA, Tablet or Pick by Voice with a separate WLAN connection.
This configuration is becoming more and more popular with order picking applications when using Pick by Voice.

Introduction
A total overview of UniWin and all its possible versions
The next slide gives a total overview of UniWin in an on-line WLAN environment.
UniWin can work as a stand alone WMS or as a Factory floor IT system which receives orders and sends back the results
of the production of the warehouse. All possible devices are connectable to UniWin.
UniWin comes with a standard template: ‘logistics’ with the following standard features:
• Barcode scanning of ID of the pallet• Weighing of the pallet using the RAVAS mobile scale
• Making pictures of the pallet• Using Cube Tape for volume measurement
• Using Pallet Cube or AKL as volume measurement
