RATE SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY AND DISCLAIMER

The availability of a Rate Schedule for a member is based on the member meeting

qualifications of the availability clause and other terms of the Rate Schedule. Rate

Schedules are available upon request and it shall be the member’s responsibility to

see that he/she is charged the rate for which he/she qualifies. In some cases the

member may be eligible to take service under more than one rate.

By request the Cooperative will advise the member in the selection of the rate that

will give him/her the lowest cost of service based on information provided to the

Cooperative; however, the responsibility for the selection of the rate lies with the

member. After the member has selected the rate under which he/she elects to take

service, or when the type or capacity of service(s) needed requires a change to

another rate, the member will not be permitted to change from that rate to another

rate until at least 12 months have elapsed. An exception to this elapsed time

requirement will be made if the service no longer meets the availability clause of the

Rate Schedule. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the member to notify the

Cooperative of any change that affects the rate or charge for service.

No refund will be made of the difference in charges under different rates applicable

to the same class of service.

GENERAL SINGLE-PHASE, FARM & RESIDENTIAL SERVICE

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to all single-phase accounts whose measured maximum demands for eleven (11) of

the past twelve (12) months has been less than 40 kW. Service is subject to the established

rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Single-phase, 60 cycles at available secondary voltage

3. RATE

Facility Charge: $ 1.08 per day

Energy Charge: All energy @ 11.2 ¢ per kWh

4. MINIMUM MONTHLY BILL

The facility charge specified above, except where multiple units are served.

(See ACEC Policy #11-3).

5. POWER COST ADJUSTMENT CHARGE

Any adjustment in the Cooperative’s energy cost per kilowatt-hour in accordance with

changes in the Cooperative’s wholesale power cost will be added to or deducted from the

member’s current bill for electric service as appropriate.

6. TERMS OF PAYMENT

The above rates are net. Bills not paid by the due date are subject to a late payment charge

on the unpaid balance in accordance with the Cooperative’s Service Rules & Regulations.

7. TAXES AND FEES

The State of Wisconsin, County and local sales taxes, Non-Taxable Program Fees, and any

other legislative or regulatory fees imposed by governmental agencies will be applied to each

billing for electric services as applicable.

8. OTHER FEES

Additional charges may be added to the Facility Charge for members requiring easement

payments, line crossing charges, insurance charges or any other charge that a member may

impose on the Cooperative. These fees will be prorated to a monthly basis and added to the

Basic Facility Charge.

Rate Schedule: GS-TOD

GENERAL SERVICE TIME-OF-DAY (TOD)

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to members for all single-phase uses whose measured maximum demands for

eleven (11) of the past twelve (12) months has been less than 40 kW. The capacity of

individual motors served under this schedule shall not exceed 10 HP without prior approval

of the Cooperative. Service is subject to the established rules and regulations of the

Cooperative.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Single-phase, 60 cycles at available secondary voltages.

3. RATE

Facility Charge: $1.08 per day

Energy Charge: On-Peak @ 25.8¢ per kWh

Off-Peak @ 7.1¢ per kWh

On-Peak:

November 1 - April 30: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday, except Holidays

May 1 – October 31: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

ELECTRIC SPACE HEATING

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to all members who use separately metered electric energy for heating, conforming

to the specifications set forth hereunder, and who are receiving service at the same location for

other usages. Service is subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Single- or three-phase, 60 cycles at available secondary voltage, separately metered.

3. RATE

Facility Charge: $8.50 per month (second meter charge)

Energy Charge: All energy @ 10.5¢ per kWh (September – May billing periods)

All energy @ 15.7¢ per kWh (June – August billing periods)

All energy @ 11.2¢ per kWh all months for X1H, X2H, and X3H

rate codes.

4. MINIMUM CHARGE

A. The member shall provide the complete service entrance according to the

Cooperative’s specifications necessary for the separate electric heat meter.

B. Space heating equipment shall be permanently connected and as far as practicable,

shall be 240 volt.

C. The minimum connected heating load shall be 5000 watts resistance-type heat.

D. Not more than 6000 watts of resistance-type space heating equipment shall be

controlled by a single thermostat or manually operated switch.

LARGE POWER SERVICE

1. AVAILABILITY

For all single and three-phase non-irrigation accounts;

A. Whose measured maximum demands for two (2) or more of the past twelve (12)

months has been equal to or greater than 40 kW.

B. New accounts whose measured demands are estimated to be 40 kW or more shall

be placed on this rate until we have twelve (12) months of historical measured

demand readings.

C. For accounts that have twelve (12) consecutive months where the measured

maximum demand is less than 40 kW the Cooperative may transfer the account to

the GS or PS rate, whichever is appropriate.

D. This rate is available to any single- or three-phase non-irrigation account of less

than 40 kW peak demand, at the member’s request.

E. This rate is not available to accounts requiring 1000 kVA or more of transformer

capacity.

F. Service is subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Single-phase and three-phase, 60 cycles at available secondary voltage.

Facility Charge: $68.00 per month

Demand Charge: $21.38 per kW maximum demand

LARGE POWER SERVICE (OVER 1000 KVA)

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to all three-phase accounts requiring 1,000 kVA or more of transformer capacity. Service

is subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

Facility Charge: Based on cost of facilities installed by ACEC on a per

facility basis.

Firm Demand Charge: $ 25.83 per kW per month, measured at the time of

ACEC’s power supply coincident peak

Interruptible Demand Charge: $ 21.38 (special contract required)

Energy Charge: On-peak - all kWh @ 4.7¢ per kWh

Off-peak - all kWh @ 3.3¢ per kWh

On-Peak Period: 8 am – 10 pm Monday-Friday, except Holidays


4. POWER FACTOR CHARGE - At the option of the Cooperative


5. MINIMUM CHARGE

A. The minimum monthly charge is the facility charge.

B. The minimum annual charge shall be five (5) times the maximum demand charge during the

year.


The billing demand for the month shall be the maximum recorded fifteen (15) minute demand in

kilowatts during the hour of ACEC’s power supply coincident peak.


Any adjustment in the Cooperative’s energy cost per kilowatt-hour, in accordance with changes in the

Cooperative’s wholesale power cost, will be added to or deducted from the member’s current bill for

electric service as appropriate.

8. TERMS OF PAYMENT

The above rates are net. Bills not paid by the due date are subject to a late payment charge on the

unpaid balance in accordance with the Cooperative’s Service Rules & Regulations.

9. TAXES AND FEES

The State of Wisconsin, County and local sales taxes, Non-Taxable Program Fees, and any other

legislative or regulatory fees imposed by governmental agencies will be applied to each billing for

electric services as applicable.

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to all new three-phase accounts requiring 10,000 kVA or more of transformer

capacity for a period of three years from first billing. Service is subject to the established

rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

1. AVAILABILITY

For all single and three-phase non-irrigation accounts requesting a Time-of-Day rate;

A. Whose measured maximum demands for two (2) or more of the past twelve (12)

months has been equal to or greater than 40 kW.

B. New accounts whose measured demands are estimated to be 40 kW or more shall

be placed on this rate until twelve (12) months of historical measured demand

readings are available.

C. For accounts that have twelve (12) consecutive months where the measured

maximum demand is less than 40 kW the Cooperative may transfer the account to

the GS or PS rate, whichever is appropriate.

D. This rate is not available to accounts requiring 1000 kVA or more of transformer

capacity.

E. Service is subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Single-phase and three-phase 60 cycles at available secondary voltage.

3. RATE

Facility Charge: $85.00 per month

Demand Charge: $ 25.83 per kW per month on-peak

This shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established for any fifteen (15) consecutive

minutes recorded during the established on-peak period and off-peak period during the

month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a time-of-day demand

meter.

IRRIGATION SERVICE - NO ACEC CONTROL

1. AVAILABILITY

For all services serving irrigation pumps 15 HP and over, subject to the established rules and

regulations of the Cooperative including requirements for load management controls.

2. TYPE OF SERVICE

Three-phase three-wire, three-phase four-wire, and single-phase, at available secondary

voltages.

3. RATE

Facility Charge: $1,440 per year @ $120 per month for 12 months OR $240 per

month April through September.

Demand Charges: $36.83 per kW maximum demand

Energy Charges: All energy @ 4.0¢ per kWh





5. MINIMUM ANNUAL CHARGE

A. The minimum annual charge shall be the facility charge.

B. Where a system or land is leased and credit with the Cooperative has not been

established, a deposit equivalent to $25.00/kW of established demand shall be paid in

advance and applied to the October bill or refunded at the end of the season.

The maximum demand used by the system for prior years is to be used for this charge;

otherwise 80% of the installed horsepower will be considered the demand in kW.

C. Any balance due on the annual facility charge will be applied to the final bill if service

is discontinued prior to the end of the billing year.

6. POWER FACTOR

The member agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. Power factors

may be measured at any time. Should such measurements indicate that the power factor at

the time of the member’s maximum demand is less than 85%, the demand for billing

purposes shall be the demand as indicated or recorded by the demand meter, multiplied by

85%, and divided by the percent power factor.

7. BILLING YEAR AND COMBINED READINGS

Energy billing will continue throughout the year under the terms and conditions of this rate.

Facility charges shall be billed each month, or if the member chooses the facility charge can

be billed over six billing periods from April through September. In the case of cranberry

marshes and where facilities other than irrigation pumps are used, facility charges shall be

billed each month from April through March. Demand charges shall be billed whenever a

demand is recorded, except as noted herein.

8. MAXIMUM DEMAND

The maximum demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand (subject to power factor

adjustment) established for any period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes during the month

for which the bill is rendered as indicated or recorded by a demand meter.

YARD LIGHT RENTAL FACILITIES

1. AVAILABILITY

Available for all members on a monthly basis upon acceptance by the Cooperative of a

signed Yard Light Lease Agreement. Service is subject to the established rules and

regulations of the Cooperative.

2. RATE

A. $11.00 per month for a lamp controlled with an electric eye and installed on an existing

Cooperative pole.

B. Other charges and conditions according to the Cooperative’s Service Rules & Regulations

i. An additional monthly charge will be applied for a pole set solely for the yard

light ($1.75 – 30’ pole, $2.00 – 35’ pole).

ii. Service over 100 feet will be installed at an additional monthly charge for each

50-foot increment ($0.50 per extra 50 feet). Closed to installations after 4-6-18

iii. An additional monthly charge shall be made where secondary voltage is not

available and a transformer must be provided ($8.00).

iv. Non-standard units (i.e., longer pole or mast arm) may be installed at additional

cost ($0.50 – 6-10’ arm, $1.00 – 12-16’ arm, $1.00 – secondary ped). Closed to

installations after 4-6-18

v. Charges for wire and pole installation, road bores, secondary pedestals, primary

(12.5kV) facilities, tree trimming, star gazer shields, guy wires or any non-

standard units including longer mast arms will be billed up front, with payment

received prior to installation. Lights are installed on the ACEC side of the meter

STREET LIGHT RENTAL FACILITIES

1. AVAILABILITY

Available for townships, unincorporated municipalities and select members on a monthly

basis upon acceptance by the Cooperative of a signed Street Light Lease Agreement. Service

is subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

2. RATE

A. All street lights will have lamps controlled with an electric eye and installed on an

RENEWABLE GENERATION RATE – CLOSED RATE

1. AVAILABILITY

This rate is closed. No new connects will be allowed under this rate; existing accounts may

remain under this rate until 3/31/26. See rate schedule RG. A member under this rate may

transfer to rate schedule RG at any time but may not return to this rate.

2. SERVICE CHARACTERISTICS

Alternating current, 60 Hertz at available voltages and standards of the Cooperative.

3. MONTHLY SALES RATE

The facility charge and energy rate for sales to the member shall be in accordance with the

rate schedule applicable to the class of service provided.

4. MONTHLY PURCHASE RATE – SMALL DISTRIBUTED RENEWABLES (S)

Total generating capacity not to exceed 20kW single-phase or three-phase.

Net energy billing may be used with reverse registration permitted - direct metering only.

The following rate shall apply when member generation exceeds use:

Energy Credit (payment to member): Shall be in accordance with the rate the member is

charged for the connected service. For generation connected to residential services the

general service rate schedule (GS) would apply.

5. FACILITY CHARGE

If a second meter or special metering is required to properly register renewable generation a

facility charge not less than the standard second meter charge, but sufficient to cover costs

will be applied.

6. TERMS OF PAYMENT

Payment of the fixed charge and for sales to the member will be in accordance with the rate

schedule applicable to the class of service provided. Routine payment to the member for sales

to the Cooperative will be made separately, except the Cooperative may credit payment for

purchases against any past due amounts owed the Cooperative

The energy rate for sales to the member shall be in accordance with the rate schedule

applicable to the class of service provided.

Total generating capacity greater than 20kW.

The following rate shall apply when member generation exceeds use:

Capacity Credit (payment to member meeting qualification): LP-2 demand charge (coincident)

5. FACILITY CHARGE

Any interconnection and special metering costs not paid as aid-to-construction will be

recovered through a facility charge sufficient to cover Cooperative’s costs.

6. CAPACITY CREDIT QUALIFICATION

The monthly capacity factor of the member’s generator exceeds 70% during the Cooperative

power supplier on-peak energy periods over each of the prior 12 months.

A two meter installation will typically be required (when member has load to be served that is

separate from the requirements of the generation facility such as for a home or other building

on the property). If the member has only one meter at the energy conversion system service

point, however, the facility charge shall be the same as the first meter charge for the

residential rate class, unless such metering is insufficient and commercial service metering is

required, in which case the facility charge will be equal to the commercial or large power rate

class, as appropriate. When a second meter is used at a member location it shall be used for

the generation facility, and the facility charge for the second meter will be not less than the

standard second meter charge, but sufficient to cover the Cooperative’s costs.

1. AVAILABILITY

Available to all members with qualified renewable energy conversion system facilities

connected in parallel with the Cooperative’s electric system.

4. MONTHLY PURCHASE RATE

The following rate shall apply at any time member generation exceeds use:

Energy Credit (payment to member): Generation Supply Cost * 1.2

The Generation Supply Cost is the average cost of energy that ACEC paid to Alliant Energy

over the period of October 1 – September 30th of the prior year as shown in Attachment 4 of

ACEC’s Rules and Regulations.

5. FACILITY CHARGE
