Kerrang has a lower readership and circulation than Q. However they have a much more even split of gender so advertisements would have a much more diverse audience to reach out to. Kerrang’s audience consists of a younger profile that are among the few demographics that are big spenders yet are hard to reach.

The rate cards are useful for advertisers because they give an in depth analysis of their audience. They also provide an idea of the amount of influence the magazine has in the form of Facebook fans and twitter followers.

The circulation of Q is much lower than the readership. Although this means the magazine would make much less money on sales alone, advertisers would pay much more for a higher readership.

The majority of the readership is male. This information would be useful for companies who’s indented audience consists of primarily one gender. For example, a brand of men's deodorant or clothing would have more success in this magazine then Kerrang! for example, because of the fact the audience is much more male orientated.
