R a s t g a r & C o s i g n e d a n agreement with JS Bank to facilitate its customers for purchase of state-of-the-art e n e r g y e f f i c i e n t a i r compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, and nitrogen and oxygen generation system.

JS Bank will provide clients with credit and leasing facilities to streamline the compressor procurement for clients of Rastgar& Co. On the other end, Rastgar will provide customers with CompAir Air Compressors which are equipped with iConn devices. These systems allow for predict ive compressor maintenance and provide data f o r i m p r o v e d e n e r g y conservation.

The signing ceremony was held at Rastgar's Korangi office during an open house session.

The event was attended by a large number of prominent Pakistani business and industry leaders along with media representatives. Included among these were the Secretary General of the K o r a n g i I n d u s t r i a l Association, Chairman and Vice C h a i r m a n o f P A A P A M , representatives from trade associations, pharmaceutical, and engineering and textile manufacturers.

Fatima Packaging Limited (formerly Reliance Sacks Limited) is a joint venture between Arif Habib Group and Fatima Group. Fatima Packaging Limited is subsidiary of Pakarab Fertilizers Ltd. Fatima Packaging Limited is one of the largest manufactures of Polypropylene Bags which are mainly used for the packing of Fertilizer, Sugar, Chemicals, Textile, Rice, Wheat, Salt, Vegetables etc in the world. The manufacturing facility is located in District Rahim Yar Khan.

The machinery has been imported from Starlinger and is the latest in the field of processing woven polypropylene bags and material. The project has started commercial production since Jan 2013 and presently the installed capacity of the plant is 4.3 Million bags per month. Fatima Packaging Limited is certified with Pakistan Standards & quality control Authority in 2012 furthermore the operations of the company are ISO 9001:2008 certified. Fatima Packaging Limited has been awarded with “Best Supplier award” for Pak Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PAJCCI). In collaboration with Gardner Denver FZE, Rastgar & Co organized a seminar “INDUSTRY 4.0, Prepare for the World of Tomorrow” at the Ramada Plaza Karachi, Pakistan on 18th July, 2018.

As manufacturers work to identify, adopt and scale enabling technologies – such as smart machines, the Internet of Things, Big Data, plant floor analytics, mobile computers, the cloud and collaborative robotics – maintenance will be redefined and transformed. iConn, an 'OPEN' cloud-based, compressed air management Service from its CompAir brand that enables operators to manage, optimise and improve compressed air-based services”.

Further highlighting the iConn He said, “The iConn Service has been developed to meet this requirement by delivering advanced analytics, which enable operators to stay in control of their installation, the system can provide historic, real-time, predictive and

cognitive analytics, enabling users to rectify potential issues before they happen”.

Atlas Honda Limited, Manufacturer of Honda Motorcycles in Pakistan, decided to replace their obsolete and inefficient VSD compressor with a combination of modern variable speed drive (VSD) and fixed speed models from CompAir. The project showed that, on sites with more than one compressor, a combination of fixed and variable speed compressors could reduce energy usage. One VSD compressor can be used to top-up supplies, leaving the fixed speed compressors to provide the base load. The viability of using VSD compressors is heavily influenced by average loads, with VSDs most applicable to sites that have occasional peaks in demand.

Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) was incorporated in Pakistan as a Public Limited Company in May 1960 and is quoted on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The Refinery is situated on the coastal

belt of Karachi, Pakistan. PRL is a hydro skimming refinery designed to process various imported and

local crude oil to meet the strategic and domestic

fuel requirements of the country. The Refinery has

a capacity of processing approximately 50,000

barrels per day of crude oil into a variety of distilled

petroleum products such as Motor Gasoline, High

Speed Diesel, Furnace Oil, Jet Fuels, Kerosene Oil
