FLEUR DE TUCSON BALLOON TOURS Fleur de Tucson balloon tours’ exceptional flights typically take us over the Tucson Mountains and Saguaro National Park West on Tucson’s northwest side. Each flight is unique, combining low level views of the beautiful desert landscape and spectacular panoramas from higher elevations. On most flights numerous wildlife are
spotted, including javelina, deer, bobcats, rabbits, foxes and red-tailed hawks. We generally fly as low as 500 feet and as high as 2500 feet above ground and travel 10-18 miles, depending on winds and available landing spots.
REID PARK ZOO Reid Park Zoo’s mission is “to encourage commitment to the conservation of biological diversity and to provide educational and fun experiences for visitors of all ages.”
The Zoo, founded in 1965 with a collection of birds, prairie dogs, farm animals, and a few squirrel monkeys, has expanded to a 24-acre campus that houses hundreds of animals in naturalistic exhibits and annually hosts more than 500,000 visitors. THE FRANKLIN AUTO MUSEUM Founded by Thomas Hubbard, the museum is a means to continue his collection of classic Franklin automobiles, and to provide an opportunity to develop a comprehensive Franklin Museum covering all years of the company’s production. Tom’s intentions were for the trust to preserve and expand the cars, Indian artifacts and facilities to be complementary to the established southwestern site and architecture.
UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA The University of Arizona is one of the leading public research universities in the United States.
