Each badge corresponds to a type of activity, and points can be assigned. For example tagging an item might give 10 points, while updating your profile can be 15 points.

Points can then be accumulated giving people an overall score, in addition to simply achieving the badge.

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard is constructed based on the information stored in the “Reward Activities List” which is a part of each users “My Site”.

This information is aggregated using the Attini (Aggregation Engine) to provide views like the one shown to the right.

The Engine uses SharePoint search to ensure performance and scalability.
