Optional adaptive full LED headlamps complement the vehicle’s design cues by combining a distinctive look with enhanced light output for better visibility and safety at night. The headlamps adaptive function enables light beams to be automatically aligned with steering inputs and follow curves in the road.

The Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) have a new shape creating a distinctive signature which also serves as the directional indicator where it flashes amber.

INTERIOR A range of individual features provide added appeal to the clean, architectural shapes of the vehicle’s interior. The all-new seats incorporate the latest technologies such as climate control options in the front seats to ensure a truly relaxed and comfortable ride. Details include the use of premium materials such as Oxford leather and twin-needle stitching.

The cabin is also complemented by new-look door insert finishings which are enhanced further by deeply padded premium materials.

For the ultimate in comfort, optional front massage seats* allow both the driver and front passenger to select individual programmes via the Touch-screen. Varying in intensity, there are five settings to choose from; each one delivers a soothing massage to improve both passenger and driver’s comfort.

The infotainment centre in Range Rover Evoque allows music to be heard and felt the way it should. Bright trebles. Deep bass notes. Rich tones that let every instrument sing. These are the characteristics of the optional Meridian™ Sound System. Added to which, the vehicle’s eight-inch Touch-screen has 800 x 480 pixel resolution, DAB, Bluetooth® streaming and phone connectivity.

Finally, Configurable Mood Lighting* is also controlled via the Touch-screen. With a range of ten colours on offer, the brightness can be dialled up or down to suit every occasion. A ‘Stealth’ setting is also available to reduce cabin illumination to a minimum.

Land Rover has always been synonymous with capability and Range Rover Evoque lives up to even the most demanding expectations. Confident and responsive, the drive is further enhanced by a generous wheel articulation and innovative off-road technologies such as Terrain Response*.

This feature adapts to the responses of the vehicle’s engine, gearbox, differentials and chassis systems to maximise driveability, comfort and traction.

There are four Terrain Response settings: General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts and Sand. So, the vehicle feels sure-footed no matter what the terrain or weather conditions. A fifth setting, Dynamic Mode is available on vehicles specified with Adaptive Dynamics**. This mode tunes the suspension to deliver even tighter body control with flatter handling and sharper responses.

ALL-TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL

All-Terrain Progress Control* is an optional state-of-the-art new system that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions.

Operating like a cruise control system, it functions between 1mph and 18mph, enabling the driver to maintain full concentration on steering and finding a path through obstacles.

In addition, the system also features a dedicated launch feature, which enables the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on tricky low-friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.

Developed by Land Rover’s industry-leading all-terrain specialists, it works seamlessly alongside the standard Terrain Response*, four-wheel drive traction and braking systems.

Once All-Terrain Progress Control is activated, the standard steering wheel +/- cruise control buttons are used to set the speed. Brake and accelerator pedals can still override the chosen settings with gentle braking achieving a reduction in target speed.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL Land Rover’s patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) assists the driver with controlled descents of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel.

Hill Start Assist ensures the vehicle doesn’t roll backwards as it pulls away on an incline. The vehicle also utilises Gradient Release Control (GRC) which is designed to prevent the vehicle accelerating too quickly on a steep incline when the driver releases the brake.

WADE SENSINGDesigned to aid the driver whilst driving in water, sensors in the door mirrors provide real-time information of water depth and presents this on the Touch-screen along with the vehicle’s maximum wading capability.

ACTIVE DRIVELINE The Active Driveline* delivers benefits in both on and off-road situations. In many on-road driving conditions, the system is able to disconnect drive to the rear of the vehicle, providing maximum two-wheel drive fuel economy. The sophisticated software continuously monitors key vehicle and environmental parameters. If the requirements for four-wheel drive are met, the system seamlessly and imperceptibly reconnects that drive within 300 milliseconds.

When cornering, the vehicle’s agility and stability are enhanced by the Torque Vectoring by Braking system**. Monitoring the vehicle, the system constantly balances the distribution of torque between all the wheels to improve grip and steering whether on or off-road.

ADAPTIVE DYNAMICSAdaptive Dynamics with advanced MagneRide™† monitors vehicle movements at least 1,000 times per second, reacting to driver or road inputs instantaneously to give greater control and minimise body roll, providing a balanced, flat ride.

This optional system will also sense off-road conditions and optimise the advanced MagneRide™ damper settings accordingly. Whether driving in town or on country roads and tracks, there’s a sense of greater control.

MERIDIAN™ SOUND SYSTEM Land Rover has partnered with Meridian, a world leader in audio technologies and digital sound processing, to develop advanced audio systems for Range Rover Evoque.

The optional 380W Meridian Sound System features 12 channels and 11 loudspeakers including a dual-channel subwoofer. The Meridian Surround Sound System is also available and produces an incredible 825W through 15 channels and 17 loudspeakers including a subwoofer.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) allows a speaker to perform with the characteristics of a speaker of eight times the volume.

The result is the very best in world-class audio reproduction with sound that can be felt and heard, just as the artist intended.

Also pioneered by Meridian, Trifield technology ensures a perfect stereo image for each occupant, producing an holistic sound within the cabin to further improve the concert-like experience.

A special feature, Dynamic Volume, detects variations in the cabin and balances out the sound quality so that it’s consistent throughout the car.

The signature Land Rover Sports Command Driving Position ensures the driver benefits from a greater view of the road ahead. HEAD UP DISPLAY

Head Up Display is a technology option that presents key vehicle data such as road speed, gear position and navigation directions on the windscreen, without distraction or the need for the driver to take their eyes off the road. In a world first, the Land Rover system features laser holographic techniques, resulting in superior colour saturation, brightness and contrast.

This innovative laser system is more robust against issues such as ‘washout’ – the effect that the glare from sunlight has on inferior LED-based systems.

DUAL VIEW TOUCH-SCREEN

The centrepiece of the facia is the eight-inch high-resolution Touch-screen that can be specified with the optional Dual View system. This allows the driver and passenger to view completely independent display content. For example, the driver can use the Navigation system, while the front seat passenger is able to watch a DVD or TV. One set of WhiteFire® digital wireless headphones is included.

COMFORT FOR ALLSEATING

For the ultimate comfort whatever the temperature, climate front seats are available. This option provides both heated and cooled ventilation through perforations in the Oxford leather seats. The driver and passenger preferences can be independently controlled via the Touch-screen. Heated rear seats are also available where the outer seats are heated.

Optional front massage seats allow both the driver and front passenger to select individual programmes via the Touch-screen. Varying in intensity, there are five settings to choose from; each one delivers a soothing massage to improve both the passenger and driver’s comfort.

CONFIGURABLE MOOD LIGHTING

Mood Lighting adds to the calm, contemporary atmosphere. No matter what the light is outside, it’s always comfortable inside.

Configurable Mood Lighting is also available, again controlled via the vehicle’s Touch-screen, with a range of ten configurable colours available. The brightness of the ambient lighting is also configurable, and a ‘Stealth’ setting is available to reduce cabin illumination to minimum. Create the mood. Enjoy the surroundings. Get more out of the drive.

PANORAMIC ROOF

The optional full-size, fixed panoramic glass sunroof enhances the sense of space and light, as well as providing uninterrupted views of the surrounding environment.

Importantly, the toughened glass has a dark tint to maintain a comfortable temperature inside the cabin and protect occupants and the interior from the sun’s rays. A full-sized, powered interior blind is also provided for those who may prefer a more private experience.

COMFORT FOR ALL REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT

Range Rover Evoque’s optional Rear Seat Entertainment system has the ability to play high quality DVD Video and route it through two eight-inch screens located in the back of the front headrests. The system can also play MP4 Video Files stored on a USB Device plugged into a USB Port located in the vehicle.

Digital television channels can be watched on the rear screens and Dual View front seat passenger display independently. The Rear Seat Entertainment system comes with a remote control, which allows intuitive operation. Two wireless digital headphones featuring WhiteFire® technology provide high quality sound and clarity to pasengers.

USB CHARGING POINTS

Connectivity is state-of-the-art with Bluetooth® streaming as well as USB/iPod® connections for hands-free phone operation and a choice of listening while on the move.

An additional, dedicated USB socket allows the connection of compatible phones via a standard USB Cable (not supplied). This will allow the user to operate compatible apps via the Touch-screen, when InControl Connect option features.

GESTURE TAILGATE

Opening and closing is further enhanced with the option of a hands-free powered tailgate. This will allow the driver to operate the tailgate (both to open and close) from outside the vehicle without needing to physically touch either the vehicle or the remote key fob.

Provided that the key fob is detected, the tailgate may be operated by waving a foot underneath the rear of the vehicle.

Additionally, two sensors mounted on either side of the tailgate allow kerbside operation, rather than needing to be immediately behind the vehicle.

INCONTROL TOUCH InControl Touch is the command centre for a wealth of features designed to make your driving experience more entertaining and safer. It features a contemporary and fresh graphical design displayed on an eight-inch Touch-screen.

It is the central hub from where you can connect and control your chosen entertainment and media. You can therefore enjoy an unimaginable amount of music and imagery all within one simple to use system. The ability to connect your smartphone via Bluetooth® is also available.

The system also controls the air flow distribution within the vehicle and allows you to operate the climate seats.

InControl Touch provides all of the capabilities that you need such as navigation system, Bluetooth® connection on your phone, ECO Data functionality and the Land Rover 4x4i function.

INCONTROL PROTECTInControl Protect enables you to monitor your vehicle wherever you are. The InControl Remote Essentials App, downloaded through the App Store or Google Play, ensures you are fully prepared for your journey by displaying the fuel level and location of your vehicle. Remote Essentials also gives you vital information on fluid levels and whether your vehicle is locked or any doors or windows are open. You are also able to download your journeys to assist in reviewing mileage.

InControl Protect gives you peace of mind through SOS Emergency call and Optimised Land Rover Assistance. In the event of an emergency, the SOS Emergency call notifies the emergency services of the location of your vehicle.

INCONTROL CONNECT*

InControl Connect gives you outstanding connectivity within your vehicle, ensuring you and your passengers enjoy the journey whilst remaining connected. Includes the following three features:

INCONTROL APPS

Connects your smartphone with the Touch-screen in your vehicle, meaning you can stay safely connected to your smartphone. InControl Apps enables you to control compatible apps on the InControl Touch-screen, ensuring the safe and convenient use of apps that have been optimised specifically for use within your vehicle.

INCONTROL REMOTE PREMIUM

InControl Remote Premium is an app available on Android and iPhone®, which allows you to interact with your vehicle remotely. InControl Remote Premium not only provides basic information with the use of Remote Essentials, it also enables you to communicate with your vehicle. You are able to lock/unlock your vehicle, cool/heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey and set a ‘beep and flash’ in order to locate your vehicle in a crowded car park.

INCONTROL WI-FI HOTSPOT*

Connects your vehicle to the internet, allowing you and your passengers to stay connected on the move. You can connect up to eight devices to 3G cellular networks to browse and stream the web, meaning you never have to be out of touch.

INCONTROL SECURE*

If someone breaks into your Land Rover or moves it illegally, the optional InControl Secure feature automatically tracks the vehicle and alerts you and the InControl Secure monitoring centre, helping pinpoint and recover your vehicle as quickly as possible.

Even if your car is stolen with the keys, you can activate the alert by calling the tracking call centre using the InControl Essentials.

ENGINES

NINE-SPEED AUTOMATICThe lightweight, compact nine-speed automatic transmission provides optimum fuel economy and CO2 emissions as well as greater control in low-grip conditions or when towing through the specially designed, ultra-low first gear.

The nine-speed automatic transmission is specifically designed for transverse applications, and is one of the most efficient and technically advanced transmissions ever used in a production vehicle. Smaller ratio steps give improved response during acceleration, improved shift quality, drive and refinement.

The higher top gear not only reduces fuel consumption but the lower engine revs improve comfort and reduce noise when cruising at a sustained speed.

The nine-speed automatic is extremely robust and perfectly complements Land Rover’s rugged all-terrain ability whilst delivering exceptionally high levels of refinement and efficiency.

INGENIUM DIESEL ENGINE The all-new Ingenium diesel engine delivers a step change in both emissions and economy, showing an average 17 percent improvement in both fuel economy and CO2 emissions over its predecessor.

The 2.0 litre four-cylinder Ingenium engine is available as either a two-wheel drive with six-speed manual transmission or a four-wheel drive with a choice of six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission.

The all-aluminium Ingenium engine are 20-30kg lighter than predecessors. An efficient solenoid common-rail system feeds fuel into the combustion chambers which provides precision injection with low noise levels. Added to which internal friction is reduced by 17 percent compared with the previous generation turbodiesel engine, boosting efficiency, smoothness and responsiveness.

Not only is the new Ingenium engine substantially lighter, more fuel-efficient and more refined than its predecessor, it is also more affordable and convenient to own thanks to servicing intervals extended from 16,000 to 21,000 miles on four-wheel drive models.

Si4 PETROL ENGINEThe Si4 petrol engine is a lightweight all-aluminium 2.0 litre engine with the latest direct-injection technology, advanced turbocharging and independent variable valve timing to help lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared with traditional larger capacity engines delivering equivalent performances.

The engine delivers a rich, powerful engine sound during strong acceleration and features a unique exhaust manifold for quicker warm-up and lower emissions, a low friction design and a state-of-the-art electronic management system. This includes Smart Regenerative Charging, which prioritises the charging of the battery when the vehicle is decelerating to capture wasted kinetic energy and reduce fuel consumption.

STRENGTH AND STABILITY BODY

Range Rover Evoque features an extremely strong, lightweight body structure which has been developed using advanced, weight-saving materials to deliver outstanding stiffness and refinement together with excellent crash performance.

The structure is based on a steel monocoque platform. Delivering the exciting design and sporting dynamics of Range Rover Evoque dictated that an all-new structure was developed. Lightweight technologies are used extensively in the body design, including:

– Front fenders and tailgate assembly – Magnesium cross car beam – Optimised steel structure with 18 percent

high strength Boron steels.

OPTIMISED STRUCTURE

The use of special ultra-high-strength steels in strategic load-bearing areas was a key design objective. These specialised steels deliver increased strength in critical areas, without the need to increase the thickness and weight of the pressings.

The ultra-high-strength Boron steel has been used in key parts of the crash safety cell, including the A and B-pillars and the sills. The resulting structure protects occupants using an incredibly strong and stable safety cell, and provides a very stiff platform for superior refinement and vehicle dynamics.

The use of ultra-high-strength Boron steel in the A-pillar was critical in retaining the slim, raked pillar of the vehicle, without compromising the strength and safety of the structure.

Range Rover Evoque’s optimised steel structure protects occupants using an incredibly strong and stable safety cell, which is complemented by a comprehensive system of airbags and restraints including driver and passenger airbags, knee airbags, and side curtain and thorax airbags.

The crash structure was optimised using state-of-the-art computer simulation tools, which allowed engineers to conduct ‘virtual’ crash tests long before physical prototypes were available.

Pedestrian safety has been given a very high priority, with a carefully optimised design for the front-end, bumpers, bonnet and cowl area to minimise potential injuries.

CHASSIS AND VEHICLE DYNAMICS

Range Rover Evoque has a chassis which has been specially developed by Land Rover’s engineers to deliver on-road dynamics which combine sporting and agile responses with impressive refinement, while not compromising all-terrain capability.

Range Rover Evoque has fully independent suspension, with coil sprung struts front and rear, and isolated front and rear subframes, mounted to an exceptionally stiff steel monocoque bodyshell. The performance of the base suspension system is supplemented by advanced technologies such as an intelligent four-wheel drive system.

The chassis features a number of innovations, such as Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), which help the car achieve its unique dynamic character and improved efficiency.

5* EURO NCAP RATING As with every Land Rover, safety was a key priority in the development of Range Rover Evoque, resulting in autonomous emergency braking and a state-of-the-art bodyshell. Range Rover Evoque has been awarded the maximum five star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

In all models, all seating positions are assessed to ensure a high standard of occupant protection as well as a comprehensive occupant safety package including driver and passenger airbags, driver knee airbags, and side curtain and thorax airbags.

DRIVER SAFETY AIDS

BLIND SPOT MONITORING WITH CLOSING VEHICLE SENSING

Designed to see what might be missed, these optional systems have discrete sensors hidden in the side and the rear bumpers. When a vehicle enters a blind spot on either side of the vehicle, Blind Spot Monitoring alerts the driver via an icon displayed in the appropriate door mirror. If a vehicle approaches at speed from behind when changing lanes, the Closing Vehicle Sensing function will alert the driver by flashing the icon in the door mirror.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

A forward-looking camera mounted ahead of the rear view mirror monitors the lane markings on both sides of the vehicle and gives the driver a warning when the vehicle drifts out of its lane without the indicators being triggered. The alert comes in the form of a discrete vibration through the steering wheel, allowing the driver to take the appropriate action.

AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING

Autonomous Emergency Braking helps further enhance the active safety aspects of the vehicle. Using a forward-facing digital camera, the system detects vehicles ahead and automatically reduces impact speed if it calculates that a collision is likely. The driver is alerted of the risk by a visual and audible warning signal.

TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION

Working in conjunction with the Navigation System, this optional feature scans the road ahead for certain traffic signs and displays them in the Message Centre in the instrument pack. The following signs are detected: speed limit signs, no-overtaking signs, variable overhead speed signs and traffic signs with extra information – such as reduced speeds for wet roads.

The system can be configured to provide speed alert warnings when the vehicle is travelling at or above the current speed limit, as well as warning of no-overtaking zones.

REVERSE TRAFFIC DETECTION

Activated whilst reversing, Reverse Traffic Detection is an optional feature that works by informing the driver in the event of a vehicle approaching from either side which may present a hazard, with both audible and visual warnings.

PARK ASSIST – PARALLEL PARK / PARKING EXIT

Using sensors, this optional feature identifies parking spaces and helps to parallel park in tight spots. The screen prompts the driver to select reverse and then automatically steers the vehicle into place. The driver stays in control using the brake and graphics in the instrument panel to guide through each manoeuvre.

With Parking Exit, the system enables easy manoeuvring out of parallel parking spaces. Graphics and alerts on the Message Centre screen keep the driver informed at all times.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH QUEUE ASSIST AND INTELLIGENT EMERGENCY BRAKING

Optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a radar based cruise control system that helps maintain a pre-set gap from the vehicle in front, even if it changes speed. Discretely mounted behind the front grille, it detects and monitors the vehicle’s front and sets the most appropriate speed.

Queue Assist adds to ACC functionality by ensuring the vehicle comes to a halt when it reaches a traffic queue. Intelligent Emergency Braking uses radar to detect vehicles travelling in the same direction and automatically reduces impact speed if it calculates that a frontal collision is unavoidable.

SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM

Using five digital cameras mounted around the vehicle, this optional system provides an all-round view of your surroundings on the full-colour Touch-screen, assisting in tight manoeuvring. When towing, it provides additional information to aid with reversing.

SUSTAINABILITY ADVANCED LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS

Starting at just 1,543kg and using a range of advanced lightweight materials, Range Rover Evoque is the lightest Range Rover ever. There are key weight-saving materials throughout the vehicle, including an aluminium bonnet and roof and a magnesium cross car beam. The front fenders and tailgate assembly are constructed from composite materials.

Even the thickness of the laminated windscreen is reduced to save weight and improve fuel efficiency, performance and handling.

The interior has also been independently tested by a leading international consultancy to ensure that all occupants enjoy an allergy-free environment. With 14.9kg of recycled plastic and 21kg of renewable and natural materials in each car, it’s taking big steps to reduce its environmental footprint.

One particular innovation in the use of recycled material is the use of 95 percent recycled aluminium in the authentic metal interior finishers used on all models.

STOP/START

All engines feature Intelligent Stop/Start technology that automatically shuts down the engine at rest and starts it again as soon as the brake pedal is released or the clutch pedal is fully pressed on manual transmissions. This helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

E-CAPABILITY

Land Rover’s current range of vehicles already utilises a wide range of innovative and efficient technologies including intelligent Stop/Start and brake energy regeneration. Range Rover Evoque’s latest engine range is just the latest testament of innovation to provide further efficiency whilst not compromising on capability.

With our E-Capability solution, CO2 can be as low as 109 g/km when you choose a two-wheel drive, ensuring your vehicle is as efficient as possible.

DRIVELINE, ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND FUEL ECONOMYThe all-new Ingenium diesel engines are fully EU6 compliant, and coupled with lightweight all-aluminium construction, six-speed manual transmission or optional nine-speed automatic transmission (TD4), deliver greatly improved fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.

The powerful Si4 engine is also fully EU6 compliant, yet has lost nothing in performance, accelerating from 0-60mph in just 7.1 seconds.

All Land Rover Approved Accessories fitted by a Land Rover Retailer within one month or 1.600 kilometres/1.000 miles (which ever occurs first) of the handover of a new registered vehicle will benefit from the same warranty terms and period of cover as the vehicle warranty. Accessories purchased outside of these parameters will be subject to a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty. All Land Rover Approved Accessories are rigorously tested to the same exacting standards as those applied to our vehicles. Performance in extreme hot and cold temperatures, corrosion resistance, impact and airbag deployment highlight some of the exhaustive product testing carried out to ensure accessories are both durable and importantly, continue to comply with current legislation. Some of the accessories featured are not available on all models. Please consult your nearest Land Rover Retailer for more information.

All our accessories are designed to be an integral part of Land Rover vehicles. While many items such as roof carriers are simple to fit, some products require specialist tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure correct integration with the vehicle structure and electrical systems. These products vary from market to market, please consult your Land Rover Retailer who will be pleased to advise you on current specifications and any query you may have.
