HSPA Multi NRT RABs
Test Case ID: RU10
Feature Summary: RAN285 HSPA Multi NRT RABs
This feature enables establishment of three simultaneous NRT (interactive or background) PS RABs, which are mapped onto HS-DSCH and E-DCH (or DCH for non HSUPA users) transport channels.
Also UL DCH data rates 128kbit/s and 384kbit/s are supported simultaneous with AMR
Customer documents:
• WCDMA RAN Release RU10 / Features Under Development (FUD)
• FAM / Activating RAN285: HSPA Multi NRT RABs / DN70481625 • Radio Resource Management of HSDPA / DN0638161 • Packet Scheduler / DN0495772
Purpose of the test case: Is to test that up to three simultaneous NRT PS RABs can be allocated on HS-DSCH and E-DCH/DCH. This means that three simultaneous PDP contexts can utilize the HSPA service. The following simultaneous RABs could be tested with and without AMR:
NRT RAB#1 / WAP portal
NRT RAB#2 / streaming with real player
NRT RAB#3 / Keep the mail active in back round
Setup and prerequisites: Test environment
• 1 RNC
• 2 NodeB
• 1 MGW
• 1 MSC/MSS
• 1 SGSN
• 1 GGSN
• 1 3G terminal, Rel6 UE with multiRAB support

Parameter setting:
WCEL parameter settings:
• code set (HSPDSCHCodeSet) with recommended values for HSDPA 15 Codes licence {5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15}
• Max Number of HS-SCCH (MaxNbrOfHSSCCHCodes) to 3 • HS-PDSCH code upgrade margin for SF128 codes
(HSPDSCHMarginSF128) from default to 0.
• HSPAQOSEnabled: HSPA streaming is in use. • HspaMultiNrtRabSupport supported. RNC parameters • Usage of AMR service with E-DCH is enabled
Mobility setup:
• Create 2 soft branches under RNS. • Both WCELs used for testing should be defined as neighbours for
each others Counters:
M1002C617, M1002C618, M1002C620, M1002C622 Test execution: HSPA Multi NRT RAB with PS streaming service (multiple primary PDP contexts)
1. Change WCEL parameter - HspaMultiNrtRabSupport value to 1
(supported). 2. Having UE1 (R6) camping on WBTS1 WCEL1 activate PDP context
with interactive QoS (APN1). Use ftp or equal tool to generate data flow.
3. Activate second PDP context (APN2). Verify from Nethawk logs that new PDP context activation request is accepted and both RABs are configured to HS-DSCH/E-DCH one having NRT and other RT service class.
4. Activate third PDP context interactive Qos and verify that HS-DSCH/E-DCH multi RAB call can be maintained with constant data flow for RAB having streaming service.
5. Release one interactive RAB and stop data transfer for RAB with streaming service. Start AMR call.
6. Activate streaming PDP contexts again. Verify from NH logs that PDP context activation is accepted and multi RAB call with 1 PS NRT+ PS streaming + AMR can be setup and maintained without malfunctions detected in the system.
7. Verify function also in soft HO situation. 8. Release all calls. Verify that RNC did not return any alarms or error
logs.
Expected results:
1. New multi RAB combinations can be successfully setup, maintained and released with PS streaming service
2. No RNC error logs or alarms indicating malfunction in the system 3. Management parameters have prospective influence to system
behaviour
