During early work preparing a suite of albums for our College 100 web site, we were approached by AVM Bob Hooks who wondered if we would be interested in some of his private collection of photos taken at Cranwell during his tenure as OC Eng Wg. Not only did we enthusiastically accept his invitation, but we were absolutely delighted when we received the album of original photographs he had kindly donated.

To conform to a house style and prepare the photos for the web site, we reproduced them in this album to add to all the others. But full credit must go to AVM Hooks who took some of the photos himself as he often acted as host, in the Commandant’s absence, to many VVIP visits and key events that characterised life at Cranwell in the late 60s.
