5 New Feature
Feature Description
1. Multiple SNMP users
SNMP user (“Admin”) has the ability to create up to five SNMP users. Each
has a different password and a different access level
For example, after link establishment & provisioning from the NOC through
the RADWIN Manger, the admin can configure the radios remotely to allow
full access for a specific user name other than “admin” Each radio will allow
full access to admin and to the configured user.
2. Strict priority support (QoS)
Enable the user to configure one or several QoS streams as SDS (Strict Data
Stream). Data within a SDS stream will be transmitted first, before data in
any other stream. SDS stream assures optimized capacity and latency for the
data within this stream.
3. TTL support (QoS)
User can configure maximum TTL (Time to Live) parameter per Data stream
(Queue) and per direction (uplink, downlink). TTL relates to maximum time
that an Ethernet frame resides in the system from end to end before it is been
discarded on one of the ends.
The goal is to keep low latency and discard frames with latency higher than
certain value.
4. HSS over Ethernet
Hub Site Synchronization over Ethernet (HSSoE) method provides inter and
intra-site synchronization without the need for external cables or an HSS unit.
Sync signals are exchanged between collocated radios over a standard
Ethernet connection, using either IDU-H or any qualified L2 switch
Supported switches have GbE interface and support EEE mode disable.
5. IPv4/IPV6 Dual IP Stack Support - IPv4 and IPv6 support for management access
6. RSS Indication per Chain
RSS indication per H/V chains, supported in extended view only for both
HBS & HSU
Allows to improve installation alignment to gain higher throughput and
greater immunity to interference
Troubleshooting and diagnostic tool
7. MIR Indication per HSU Maximum Information Rate indication per HSU and per UL/DL direction
Intuitive graphical and numerical indications
8. Wide band FCC
New wide-band 5.3/5.4/5.8 GHz FCC added to the following products:
o RW5000/HBS/5200/F58/FCC/EXT - RW-5200-0250
o RW5000/HSU/5510/F58/FCC/INT - RW-5510-0A50

o RW5000/HSU/5525/F58/FCC/EXT - RW-5525-0C50
HBS selects the best channel with the lowest interference out of all FCC
bands
6 Compatibility Component
Name Description
1. Software
Upgrade
1. Software upgrade can be applied to any previous RADWIN 5000 releases.
2. RADWIN 5000 Release 3.5.50 GA is not compatible with RADWIN 5000 prior to release 3.4.50
LA, due to a new Air interface protocol. This means that HSUs that running release older than

3. For backwards compatibility Software Upgrade to release 3.5.50 is required for old HBS and HSUs
in the sector.
2. Software
Downgrade
1. Software downgrade from release 3.5.50 GA to release 3.2.75 LA is not available, thus RADWIN
5000 units with release version prior to 3.3 should be upgraded to 3.5.50 GA for compatibility.

Issue Name Description Workaround
1. Missing SNMP Traps
Some SNMP traps might be missing after
HBS reset :
- HBS ready
- Management port status changed to
disconnected
Not service affected
2. Channel BW change
problem
Channel bandwidth switch from 10 to 20 MHz
on edge channels (Center frequency that is not
available on 20MHz) fails without
notification, and the sector continues to work
on 10MHz
Change frequency to a none edge channel
and change the channel bandwidth to
20MHz
3. HSU Device Reset
Occasionally, HSU reset may occur under full
capacity traffic at steady state under
20/40MHz channel BW
HSU Link recovers automatically after reset
4. Multiple HSMs
If a HBS is set as HSC-CT and detects
Multiple HSS sources with different Tx ratios,
its own Tx ratio changes continuously (trap is
send every second)
Remove redundant HSMs
5. Min Tx Power
In FCC/ETSI frequency bands the Minimum
Tx power can be set to a value of -11dBm
whereas the minimum should be -8dBm.
Set Minimum Tx power to -8dBm

under high interference and traffic load Link recovers automatically after sync loss
10. HBS sync time In rare cases, HBS sync time might be longer
than expected and can reach up to 20 seconds
11. HBS Ethernet Service
In rare cases, After multiple Sector sync loss
the Ethernet service may not be available
although Ethernet service display is active in
the RADWIN Manager
Perform HBS device reset
12. HBS/HSU Sync-Loss
Sync loss may occur once decreasing
HBS/HSU Tx power by 10dBm or more at
once
Link recovers after sync loss
automatically
Decreasing Tx power gradually
13. HBS/HSU BIT Failure
In a very rare cases, HBS/HSU might enter
into "BIT failed" state after device reset, while
no actual BIT error
Perform HBS/HSU device reset
14. Wrong SNMP Trap
Description
In rare cases , once disconnecting HSS pulse
cable from HSC site, the SNMP Trap reason
is "Improper Sync pulse" instead "Sync pulse
disappeared"
Ignore wrong trap description
15. Wrong RSS Display
Wrong RSS displayed on Link in Diversity
Antenna mode, when one of antenna ports is
physically disconnected
Ignore wrong RSS values and connect
antenna port
16. 3.5GHz Spectrum View
Interference level display at the lower
channels on antenna A, might deviate up to
10dB from the actual level
Ignore interference level display of antenna
A at the lower frequencies between 3.300-
3.450 GHz
17. 3.5 GHz High PERs in
short distances
In rare case, Link under RSS level of -40dBm
and higher may suffer from PERs and wrong
RSS values
Reduce Tx power to reduce RSS level
below 40dBm
18. Wrong Spectrum
Display
In rare cases under 6.4 GHz frequency band,
spectrum viewer might display empty of
constant RSS values (-75dBm) under strong
interference (> -40dBm)
Re-run spectrum viewer
19. Wrong Spectrum
Display
In rare cases under 6.4 GHz frequency band,
spectrum viewer might display RSS values
that are lower by ~7dBm than actual measured
Changing channel might improve RSS
accuracy
