Codes: Words & VoicesBecause there is no visual contact on radio , there is no other way for the attention of the audience to be maintained, so there is a heavy reliance on words and how words are spoken to connect and communicate with the listener. There’s also speech; music; ambience; sound and silent.

Conventions: Use of Fades & Silence These uses are what makes the radio drama have dramatic effect, keeping the listener as captivated by what they hear as possible.
