INTRO

Far Field Telecom LLC and Apelio Innova-tive Industries LLC (FFT|AII) have formed an alliance to bring the telecommunica-tions industry an optimized structure that respectfully utilizes space within the public realm. To minimize the intru-siveness of antenna installations and the overall amount of oDAS and small cell sites, it is essential that each structure be utilized as effi ciently as possible.

The cornerstone product created by the FFT|AII team is the Patent Pending Ra-dio Concealment Pole (RCP). The basis of our design was to create fl exibility by off ering the most usable interior volume for radio and appurtenance installation while simultaneously promoting ease of access for cable routing and equipment maintenance.

The result is a pole with true multi-tech-nology and/or multi-carrier potential, easily adaptable to any location, and able to accept next-generation equip-ment. Carriers can deploy unparalleled radio and appurtenance density, while benefi ting from ease of installation, ease of access, and decreased installation and maintenance costs.

The RCP is modular and made out of

lightweight aluminum. Field installation

can be done by a small crew using

basic hand tools and without the rental

and use of a crane or other heavy

equipment. In many instances, street

closures may not be needed avoiding

MOT/MPT expenses.

Installation & Maintenance1

The access doors open completely

allowing easy access to equipment

and cabling. The internal structural

face frames are easily removable

facilitating installation or replacement

of radios and other RF equipment. Both

features were designed specifically to

reduce installation and maintenance

time and cost.

The RCP18 is compatible with any

typical remote with room to spare

for additional RF components such

as diplexers, multiplexers, filters,

etc. All can be easily installed within

the pole. This unconstricted interior

space allows for better cooling

of radios improving reliability and

lowering maintenance costs. Having

a large unobstructed area permits

the use of larger radios giving

franchisee’s more technology and

power within their leasable space.

The RCP maximizes equipment per square foot

texture can be matched

to closely resemble other

existing poles in the vicinity.

The top plate of the RCP accepts the FFT|AII

supplied upper pole section or any standard street

light pole. You can even reuse the existing pole

that is being replaced! Simply cut to length and

reattach to the top plate of the radio chambers.
