such as The Van Gogh museum, the largest collection by the famous artist Vincent van Gogh. After a full day of exploration, enjoy a welcome dinner, and musical evening in the lounge. Overnight onboard Optional: Amsterdam Walking Tour Amsterdam has plenty to offer and more than enough to keep you entertained. Get your bearings on this Amsterdam city tour, perfect for first-time visitors. Discover Amsterdam as our expert guide shows you everything you want to see at this popular European destination. With thousands of monuments and historic buildings, Amsterdam has the largest historical city center in Europe. The city is distinguished by its three rings of canals lined by elaborately decorated merchants' residences and warehouses built in the 17th century, the Dutch Golden Age. When the canals were built, 90 islands were created, connected by hundreds of charming bridges DAY 03: ARNHEM (B/L/D) Today you will visit Arnhem, where the catastrophic Battle of Arnhem was fought in September 1944. This remains a large reason

for many visitors to explore the city. Perhaps you will want to visit one of Holland’s largest national parks, learn about the history of the Eusebius Church, or experience wine production at the Wine Museum. Overnight onboard DAY 04: COLOGNE (B/L/D) Cologne is Germany’s fourth largest city, and it offers numerous attractions to support its high tourism activity. An unmissable sight to see is the famous cathedral whose twin spires dominate the city skyline. It is also a strong city for museum landscape, especially when it comes to art. There is something in store for everyone, from cuisine experiences, sports fans, and even pieces of Roman history. Once you are back on board this evening, enjoy a musical and quiz in the lounge as you sail into the night. Overnight on-board Optional: Cologne Walking Tour With a history of almost 2000 years, Cologne (Köln) is the one of the largest and oldest metropolitan cities of Germany. You will be awestruck by the majestic cathedral, the Cologne Dom, one of the largest in Europe and the most important landmark of Cologne. The physical appearance of modern Cologne belies its ancient heritage. Allied bombing during World War II destroyed some 90 percent of the town; therefore, much of what you see was rebuilt in the 1950s and 1960s. Our expert guide will give you a tour of the city and relate to you the history and sights of Cologne’s storied past dating back to the first century B.C. when the Romans founded Colonia Agrippensis. DAY 05: KOBLENZ & RUDESHEIM (B/L/D) As you cruise, enjoy one of the most scenic parts of the Rhine, where turreted castles and fortresses overlook the river from their hilltop posts. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this part of the Middle Rhine Valley is an unforgettable landscape. You stop in Koblenz and perhaps you will choose to join an optional tour of the city (not included, to be purchased on board) for an excellent opportunity to learn about the important landmarks of the region. Afterwards, you take a stop in Rudesheim, famous for its Palace and superior Rieslings. Tonight, you will have a musical evening in the lounge with snacks. Overnight on-board DAY 06: MANNHEIM (B/L/D) Today in the early morning you arrive in Mannheim. This city sits on the Rhine and Neckar rivers, with a historical 18th century, baroque Palace that houses exhibits, and is home to the University of Mannheim. At the centre of this beautiful destination are shopping streets and a Romanesque water tower surrounded by magnificent gardens. Overnight onboard Optional: Heidelberg Castle Tour Heidelberg is a pedestrian-friendly city-especially in the Altstadt, or Old Town, where your explorations are likely to begin. Most sights are within a block or two of the Hauptstrasse or Main Street, which runs-with an occasional name change-from the department stores of the Bismarkplatz to the Karlstor at the eastern end of town. The churches, especially the Gothic Heiliggeistkirche on the Marktplatz (with its built-in market stalls) the Jesuitkirche, and the Peterskirche (Heidelberg's second-oldest church, dating back to 1316) are just gorgeous. Schloss Heidelberg deserves a visit: It's on a hill behind the Altstadt, which you can reach on foot (via winding streets or paths) or with the Heidelberger Bergbahn, which runs to the castle and on up to the Königstuhl with its long-distance views, falconry center, children's fairy-tale park, and other attractions. DAY 07: STRASBOURG (B/L/D)

Page 5: RADIANT RHINE - Indus TravelsRADIANT RHINE TOUR DAYS: 08 DAYS / 07 NIGHTS ... a tour of the city and relate to you the history and sights of Cologne’s storied past dating back to

Wake up this morning aboard your riverboat docked outside the historic city of Strasbourg, France, surrounded by the hills of southern Alsace. Renowned for its fairy-tale charm – and as the “Crossroads of Europe” for its role as home to the European Union – Strasbourg is the cultural capital of the French region of Alsace. You can return to the riverboat for lunch or stay in Strasbourg and spend the afternoon exploring as you please. Among the treasures you’ll see here are the medieval canals, watchtowers and half-timbered houses of La Petite France, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; stately city residences; the modern buildings of the European Parliament’ and the 11th-century Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg. Overnight onboard Optional: Strasbourg Bus & Walking Tour Strasbourg is considered the daughter of the Rhine River. It is famous for its history, cathedrals, architecture and gastronomy. In this walking tour you will discover interesting historical sights. Petite France is an area on the Grand Île, called the Venice of the North because of its narrow streets and canals. It is a delightful area to visit and it takes you back to Medieval Strasbourg. One destination that should be on your “must see” list is the Place Gutenberg which lies in the center of medieval Strasbourg, not far from the Cathedral. This large square is a favorite for locals and tourists alike as it has a lot of excellent cafes and restaurants.

DAY 08: MAINZ (DISEMBARKATION) (B/-/-) Today your river cruise will end in Mainz. Enjoy breakfast before you disembark the vessel.
