Each day of the retreat will begin with a silent meditation followed by a longer morning Yoga class in which we will explore the principle of Vyayama ²² H[HUFLVH WKDW JLYHV HQHUJ\ 0RUQLQJ DVDQD SUDFWLFH ZLOO IRFXV RQ LQFUHDVLQJ ÁXLGLW\ through softening, hydrating and releasing practices as well as stabilizing and strengthening practices. In the afternoons we will focus on restorative Yoga practices for all phases of a women’s life as well as the deeply nourishing practice of Yoga Nidra (a Tantric technique designed to move you into a profound state of relaxation and self-realization). But that’s just for starters! Our special guest, clinical Ayurvedic practitioner and Yoga teacher Melissa Spamer will introduce you to simple daily $\XUYHGLF SUDFWLFHV WKDW FDQ KDYH D SURIRXQG HͿHFW RQ \RXU KHDOWK (DFK GD\ \RX·OO OHDUQ D QHZ OLIHVW\OH SUDFWLFH DQG ZLOO be provided with a special kit to take home to implement these changes. Afternoon and evening lectures will include an introduction to Ayurveda, understanding and determining your unique constitution (Prakruti); cooking and nutrition classes, and special sessions on Ayurveda for the menstruation years and the years of perimenopause, menopause and beyond. Melissa will also be available for private Ayurvedic consultations, together with a selection of other practitioners to pamper you during your stay. Donna Farhi is a Yoga teacher who has been practicing for 35 years and teaching since 1982. She is one of the most sought after guest teachers in the world, leading intensives and teacher training programs internationally.
