As it was already indicated by the first geomagnetic mapping of the Csőszhalomtell, there was a certain regularity in the spatial structuring of the features ofthe mound protruding from the landscape within the enclosure. It was clearly visiblethat in a distinguished position large buildings stood in the middle of the enclosuresurrounded by a system of circular ditches (Fig. 1.2, Fig. 2). They were surroundedby likewise large structures. On the basis of magnetic anomalies the number of theselatter buildings was estimated as 13–16, subsequently modified to between 15–20.At a certain point in time the agglomeration of buildings in the center were surroundedby 34–38 smaller houses arranged in a circle of 35–40 m in diameter.
