This year,the points-payingsprintswere won by Allan Lewis-one of the five Canadians who made their way south for the event- and South Atlantic region racer Ty Krieger, running his firstClub race. Winterfest, hostedby Sunshine Bimmers, is a four-day event that begins on Thursday with a six-hour enduro and runs on through the weekend. Many professional teams use the event as an opportunity to tune up for the season: JamesClav's entire Bimmerworld team was there, along with a host of pro rac- ersfrom several series. Justtwo races. sprints on Saturday and Sunday,'count toward BMW CCA Club Racing points. The Club racers run with a variety of cars, among them Porsches, Mustangs, Miatas, Radical sports racers, and BMWs that are not part of the Tire Rack series.
