Dear Delegates:
Tourism activity to Machu Picchu (Cusco) was suspended last week following torrential rainfall, muds-lides and flooding that blocked the railway and stranded some 2,000 tourists at Aguas Calientes, the town below the citadel. Peru’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Martín Pérez, said Tuesday Ma-chu Picchu will reopen to tourists on Apr. 1st.

The CC coordinated a great Study Tour to Machu Picchu (Cusco), but the current situation there and the last measures taken by the Government make impossible to take this option before or after the congress. For this reason, we are publishing new options for the Study Tour this week. Places like Ica and Arequipa are also wonderful.
