We want to keep you acquainted with some key events of the term. VACATION AND RESUMPTION The school closes formally on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 and resumes on Monday, April 24th, 2018. COLLECTION OF REPORT CARDS Parents/guardians who have paid their children’s/wards fees should collect their report cards from the school. COLLECTION OF REPORT CARDS

Parents/guardians who have paid their children’s/wards fees should collect

their report cards from the school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In order to strengthen the mental, intellectual, social and physical

development of our pupils, we participated in the following activities during

the term;

1. NURSERY SECTION

(a) TEA PARTY SESSION

We had an exciting, enlightening

and interesting tea party for

parents on Thursday, January

25th 2018.The programme was

meant to address parents in the

Child development: prime and specific areas

Parents as partners

An enabling environment for teaching and learning.

It was a very enlightening and interactive session; and we thus, received

very positive feedback from parents.

(b) NURSERY ACTIVITIES

The Nursery pupils were made

to engage in various hands-on

activities which made learning fun

and interesting some of these

activities include:

Smart Cookies

Circle Tree

Dragon Painting

Foot Print and Hand Fan

2. TRANSPORTATION DAY

Subsequently, Transportation

Day was also featured as the

pupils came to school with all

types of automobile toys in

the bid to make teaching and

learning fun and practicable.

Learning through play is one

of the most effective

methods of teaching and

learning in the early years.

Our transportation day was geared towards teaching children the various

means and types of transportation.

Pupils also made several assembly presentations such as planets and universe

and news around the world.

3. PRIMARY SECTION

(a) SKILLS

engaged in the

following projects

which include:

Ankara throw

pillow - Grade one

Beads - Grade two

Tie and dye shirt- Grade three

Ankara wrapped jotter - Grade four

Air freshener - Grade five

Table calendar - Grade 6

(b) OUR RABBITS

AND SNAILS FARMS

We introduced live

animals to enhance

learning and enable our

children see physical and

practical examples of

what they learn. This has

been one of the

highlights and exciting

moments as the children

learnt to feed the

rabbits and snails on a

regular basis.

(c)EXCURSION

Grades 1 and 2 recently visited Next Cash and Carry shopping mall on

excursion basis; this is part of the school’s co-curricular activities. The aim

is to teach children the principles of buying and selling. Nursery section was

not left out as they visited “Domino Pizza” and were engaged in the process

of making pizza.

(c) INVITATIONAL RELAY

The school relay team

participated in an inter-school

invitational relay hosted by

Nigeria Tulip International

College on Saturday, 17th March,

2018. Our pupils performed

excellently well and at the end

of the competition, they were

honoured with medals (Bronze) and various gift items.

(d) OPEN DAY

It was an avenue for teachers, guardians and

parents to interact on pupils’ academic

performance, character, strengths and

weaknesses. A new dimension was also added

to it when parents appreciated pupils’

projects.

that we will respond to your observations accordingly.

OTHER EVENTS

4. WORLD BOOK DAY/WORLD DISNEY DAY

We celebrated the world book day with a unique

touch as we incorporated different waltz to the

Disney characters we have read about. The

children were full of excitement and joy as they

dressed in their favourite Disney characters, gave

wonderful presentations and engaged in an

interesting debate session. Our kids at the

playgroup were not left out as they also had an

amazing fun-filled day in their costumes.

5. RABERTO FAMILYMPICS DAY

We ended the term with our

Familympics Day Celebration which

was held on Saturday, 24th

March, 2018. The focus of the day

was to engage families through

sports while promoting healthy

living through physical fitness.

The program was a huge success and

families participated in

games like relay, badminton, etc.

6. PREPARATION FOR NEXT TERM

PUPILS’ REQUIREMENTS

LABELLING OF CHILDREN’S

PROPERTIES

We sometimes find it difficult to

identify owners of lost items such as

water bottles, lunch boxes. We urge

parents to write the names of their children on such items for easy

identification.

As you shop for “Back to School” kits, do not forget to include the

following in your list:

White sports shoes

Black shoes

Recorder for music class

Taekwando Costume for members.

Panty hose (white) for ballet girls

7. ADMISSION

Admission into Pre-Nursery to S.S. 2

2018/2019 Academic Session is

ongoing and we encourage parents to

enroll their children and secure a

space into any of the classes.

Admission forms are available at the

accounts for five thousand (N5,000)

naira only.

CONCLUSION

Many thanks once again for your cooperation and support in making this a

fulfilling and fun-filled term. Look forward to an amazing third term. Have a

blessed holiday.
