opportunity to see aero planes in flight with real bird men soaring high in air and executing diffi ¬ cult arid interesting evolutions with no other sustaining power than the planes and mctorsI The Louisville Times has announced that a great aviation meet is to be held in Louisville on June 1819 at Church hill Downs under the auspices of that paper at which some of the worlds most noted aviators will be seen with their wonderful aircraft Most promi ¬ nent among these will be Glenn H Cur tiss whose daring achievments both here and abroad have stamped him as a peerless bird man Such others as Charles F Willard Charles K Hamil ¬ ton Horace F Wild Bud Mars and C K Bates will also be in the contests for the supremacy of the air The comparatively recent advance ¬ ment in the science of aviation has been such as to startle the entire world and the daily accounts of broken records show that there are still great possi ¬ bilities for unheard of adventures by the sky pilots That records may be broken at the Louisville meet is ex ¬ tremely likely from thef act that experts have declared the Churchhill Downs course an ideal place for such meets and again for the reason that unusually fortunate dates have been secured Wrather reports for years past show that the wind velocity for the last half of June is the slowest of any time in the year of Kentucky and ofcourse this is conducive to the easy handling of the great machines- It is expected that low rates will be secured on all railroads leading into Louisville for these two days and it is expected that recordbreaking crowds will flock to the historic race course where heretofore the Kentucky thor ¬ oughbred has held undisputed sway Examine your old McCormick ma chines and see what repairs you will need place your order with iAeroplanes in Flight

The people of Kentucky at last areto have an opportunity to see aeroplanes in flight with real bird mensoaring high in air and executing diffi ¬

cult arid interesting evolutions with noother sustaining power than the planesand mctorsI

The Louisville Times has announcedthat a great aviation meet is to be heldin Louisville on June 1819 at Churchhill Downs under the auspices of thatpaper at which some of the worldsmost noted aviators will be seen withtheir wonderful aircraft Most promi¬

nent among these will be Glenn H Curtiss whose daring achievments bothhere and abroad have stamped him as apeerless bird man Such others asCharles F Willard Charles K Hamil¬

ton Horace F Wild Bud Mars andC K Bates will also be in the contestsfor the supremacy of the air

The comparatively recent advance¬

ment in the science of aviation has beensuch as to startle the entire world andthe daily accounts of broken recordsshow that there are still great possi ¬

bilities for unheard of adventures bythe sky pilots That records maybe broken at the Louisville meet is ex¬

tremely likely from thef act that expertshave declared the Churchhill Downscourse an ideal place for such meetsand again for the reason that unusuallyfortunate dates have been securedWrather reports for years past showthat the wind velocity for the last halfof June is the slowest of any time inthe year of Kentucky and ofcoursethis is conducive to the easy handlingof the great machines-

It is expected that low rates will besecured on all railroads leading intoLouisville for these two days and it isexpected that recordbreaking crowdswill flock to the historic race coursewhere heretofore the Kentucky thor ¬

oughbred has held undisputed sway
