An online memorization tool that was originally created in October 2005 by Andrew Sutherland
As a memorization tool, Quizlet allows users to create “sets” of terms customized to their own needs
Fully-featured web application that lets you enter terms and definitions, then gives you the tools to study them

Lets you pick how you want to study your cards Familiarize mode: Gives you taste of material before

your scores, pause and resume study session and lets you retest wrong answers

Can help acquire new and more adequate studying habits
Learn to work collaboratively Students can look at and use the ideas of other
students How the student wants to study in his/her hands Makes studying more fun Students can create any kinds of cards
imaginable, they can let their minds go free, the ideas are endless and they can be as creative as they like
Owen Friedrich- Approached to help out with technology at a school. Raved about what a fantastic and helpful site it is.
Facebook- Group created on Facebook with over a thousand students who added post stating how much Quizlet has helped them.
Quizlet- Actual Quizlet created to help with “Word Parts”
I would create quizzes during a large History Unit (Ellis Island, Immigration)
I would use the site to make flash cards for state and country capitals in Geography
For science: Different parts of the plant, human body, animal anatomy, vocabulary
It would be perfect for math problems (times tables, fractions, metric system)
Even more perfect for definitions in History (what did this famous person achieve?, what happened during this war?)
Quizlet is a wonderful interactive site that would be beneficial to anyone… from a 3rd grader trying to learn long division to a medical student trying to memorize the parts of the human skull, to a Lawyer studying district policies.
It has many great benefits I think it would be a great help to me in
my future as an elementary school teacher
