FUBiS – INTERNATIONAL SUMMER AND WINTER UNIVERSITY
―FUBiS offers an online program in 2020 for the first time:
• a selection of online courses with the possibility of ECTS credit transfer
• public digital lecture series.
Online Program
• Duration: July 20 to August 14, 2020
• Early bird discount for students who register by June 15, 2020
• Subjects like “Twentieth Century Berlin: People, Places, Words”
• German Language Courses
Digital Lecture Series
• 60-to-90-min. online session every Wednesday, June 3 to August 12, 2020
• free of charge and open to the public
• Topics: Subject course sessions (like “Berlin and the Digital Music Era” and
“Global Challenges – Sustainable Futures”) and German language courses
(from intermediate level B1 upwards)

―• about 180 degree programs in a wide variety of subjects
• students with a foreign university entrance qualification apply via www.uni-assist.de
• no tuition fees (except for some graduate or postgraduate programs); rather
“Semestergebühren und -beiträge” (fees and contributions), currently: 311.99 Euro
• German language skills for most degree programs: DSH 2 / Telc C 1-Hochschule / C 2-Zertifikat
des Goethe-Instituts / Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz – Zweite Stufe (DSD II) / Feststellungs-
prüfung des Studienkollegs (Assessment Exam of the Studienkolleg) / TestDaF with at least level 4 in all four parts
• Living costs: minimum of 600-700 Euro (rental fees, grocery, leisure time etc.)
• Degree program students with a residence permit for study purposes are allowed to
work for a max. of 90 days (or 180 half days) per year
