Our teenage years are some of the most

confusing and puzzling years of our lives. Often teens need help, even when they don’t think

they do.

Quit Digging! offers that help … and hope. This program can give you the tools you need to help your youth

become the person you and they always knew they could be.

We begin in Discovering The Real “You,” by presenting four main personality types.

Exercises presented will help youth learn to identify some of the characteristics of each

personality type, as well as discover which basic personality type s/he falls into. They will learn

that they are each uniquely created to be someone special. When they find out who they

are, they can relax and just be that person, instead of struggling to be somebody they are

not.

How You Got To Be This Way explains the pathway to our behavior. From how

knowledge is gained in the first place, to how our belief systems develop, to how it all

affects our perception of the world around us, to how that perception affects our

emotions and our actions … all will help youth begin to understand why they think, feel and do what they do. Understanding

these concepts is the cornerstone of positive change.

Exercises in this section will reveal some of the basic beliefs the youth has about

him/herself, and youth will discover how those beliefs have affected their actions.

But what happens if some of the knowledge and information we

have learned is wrong, or not the truth? In It’s All In Your Mind we

delve into the concept that some of what we have believed in the past

may not be based in truth. Exercises will help youth to

discover some of their thinking errors and help them realize that

they need to stop and think before they act.

Identifying Thinking Habits delves deeper into the concept of thinking errors. Here we introduce the idea of “habits” (attitudes,

thought processes) that we form through what it is that we believe.

Exercises in Identifying Thinking Habits present teens with common, every-day situations they can relate to. Through these situations, teens

can see how they would react and what decisions they would make if they were involved

in similar situations.

The theory of “choice for change” is introduced in Breaking Free From Bondage. Youth will learn how old attitudes, ideas, beliefs and patterns of thinking can be

exchanged for truth, hope and new life. Negative issues can begin to

be identified and exposed, released and overcome.

Exercises in this chapter help youth understand the power of

choice, and help them break free from the hold

the past has had over them.

Just as bad habits can be developed, so can they be overcome. And in their place, youth will begin to see

that they can nurture good habits that will benefit them, their families, their

friends, associates and society in general.

Through exercises in this section, youth will begin to understand their value and worth, and they will begin

to understand that there truly is purpose and meaning to their lives.

GraceThrough the exercises in this section,
