This is a recently-developed wine tourism project in the Douro, with accommodation available in a traditional family house. At the estates‘s restaurant, you can enjoy dishes that are typical of the region’s cuisine.

The famous swimming pool, suspended over the landscape of Quinta do Crasto, is more than a beautiful illustrated postcard, it is an ambassador sharing the elegance and modernity of the Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage region. Visitors to this estate, with a Roman name, will be told the story of the quinta’s wines and their journey to the five continents, including 40 countries. Meals and boat trips are available upon reservation.

When arriving by train at Covelinhas, you will be met by Quinta dos Murças, which invites you to be part of an authentic Douro estate experience. Your visit may include walking tours through the eight terroirs of the estate and the organic vineyards. You may also have the chance to take a trip along the Douro River, on a solar boat, and enjoy a tasting of the estate’s wines on its riverside terrace.

Quinta do ValladoAt this estate, that belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, built in 1716, you will find history, modernity and discreet luxury. The wine hotel has two distinct buildings: the historic, recently restored, and the new, built in a modern architectural style. Experience the chance to stay on their Quinta and tour their vineyards, winery & port lodge. Have a chance to do a wine, or even La Rosa beer, tasting and eat a Portuguese gastronomic meal at their recently opened restaurant, Cozinha da Clara, named after the owners’ grandmother.

This is a estates-garden of Real Companhia Velha, the oldest Portuguese company with continuous activity, founded in 1756 by royal decree. In addition to the vineyards, the schist walls and the impressive slopes - of 70-degrees-, you will also find, on the estate, the type of forests, olive groves, and gardens that are typical of the Douro. At the top of the hill, the famous Casa Redonda completes the visit with a 360-degree view of the landscape.

A visit to Quinta da Roêda, a Croft property, puts you in the heart of the vineyards in [of the] Douro. Alongside Quinta do Panascal, this is a project dedicated to Port wine, as part of the Fladgate Partnership group. In the old stables of the farmhouse, restored in the traditional Douro style, you will find the visitor center. Here you can taste different styles of Port wine. You’ll also have the chance to have a picnic in the vineyard.

Quinta do Bomfim is located in the heart of the world’s oldest demarcated wine region. The old ageing warehouse, built in 1896, stores centuries-old Port wine barrels, and, in the farmhouse museum, you can see rare photographs from the early 19th century, along with other historical artefacts. The tour includes a visit to the winery and lagares. Wine tastings or a picnic on the terrace with a wonderful view of the river are also a part of the experience.

This is the quinta where Porto Fonseca wine is produced, a classic of the Douro for more than 200 years. Open for visits since 1992, it is a place of excellence when it comes to understanding the entire process of producing this world-renowned wine. The route through the vineyards and wine cellar is done at the visitor’s own pace and with the support of a portable audio system. Guided tasting of Port wines are also available. The dream of grandfather Francisco Ferreira, mostly known as Pôpa, of having his own vineyard in Douro comes to life here. Intimate, informal and young in spirit, this wine tourism experience includes a visit and wine tasting or a picnic in the perfect spot of the farm. Among the possibilities are: late breakfast, gatherings for family and friends, as well as other tailor-made programs. Always with a view of the Douro.

Quinta da Casa Amarela is a place to feel and understand the Douro, in a familiar, welcoming and intimate environment.
