Quick Setup Guide BTP2265HW Self-Propelled Mower Quick-switch 3-in-1 Convert from mulching to bagging to side-discharge: Read the manuals that came with your mower for: Important safety warnings Further explanation of features Operating instructions Problem? Call 1-800-743-4115 Unpack the mower A Cut all four corners of the box from top to bottom. B Remove all items from around the mower. Remove the clear plastic sheet from the top of the engine. C Remove the grass catcher from its plastic shipping bag. Assemble the handle A Remove the knob, lock washer, and bolt from each side of the handle base. B Loosen, but do not remove, the knobs on the handle. Remove the cardboard slats. C Lift the handle to the operating position, and tighten the upper knobs. D Reinsert the lower handle bolts through the handle base and handle (most users will prefer the middle position). Install the lock washers and fully tighten the knobs. Set up the recoil rope handle A Hold the bail control against the handle, and pull the recoil rope handle out to the rope guide on the handle. Hook the recoil rope into the rope guide (it might be a tight fit). Add oil and fuel A Move the mower outside to a flat, level surface. B Remove the oil fill cap. Add the entire contents of the supplied oil container to the engine. Replace the oil fill cap. IMPORTANT Mower is shipped without oil in engine. Failure to add oil will result in engine damage. C Remove the fuel fill cap. Add clean, fresh, UNLEADED fuel with a minimum of 87 octane, leaving one inch of space from the top of the tank for fuel expansion. IMPORTANT Fuel tank holds less than 1/2 gallon. IMPORTANT DO NOT mix oil with fuel. D Replace the fuel fill cap, and wipe up any spills. Read the operator’s manual for operating, maintenance, and safety instructions Start the mower A Move all four wheels to the desired cutting height, and set the mower to mulch, discharge or bag. (See Quick-switch 3-in-1 instructions below.) B Hold the bail control against the handle. C Pull the recoil rope handle until the engine starts. D To engage the drive system, move the drive lever all the way forward. E To stop the drive system, release the bail control. F To stop the engine and blade, release the bail control. Cómo desempacar el cortacéspedes A Corte las cuatro esquinas de la caja empezando
por arriba.
B Retire todos los artículos que se encuentran alrededor del cortacéspedes.Quite la lámina de plástico de la parte superior del motor.
C Saque el recolector de césped de su bolsa plástica de envío.
Montaje del asidero A Quite la perilla, la arandela de seguridad y
el perno de ambos lados de la base del asidero.
B Afloje pero no quite las perillas del asidero. Retire las tiras de cartón.
C Alce el asidero hacia su posición de operación y apriete las perillas superiores.
D Vuelva a insertar los pernos inferiores del asidero a través de la base del asidero y el asidero en sí (casi todos los usuarios prefieren la posición intermedia). Instale la arandela de seguridad y apriete bien las perillas.
Instale el mango del cable de arranque
A Oprima y mantenga oprimido el control de motor y cuchilla contra el asidero de conducción, y hale hacia afuera el mango del cable de arranque hasta la guía de cable en el asidero. Enganche el cable de arranque dentro de la guía de cable (esta guía podría tener un ajuste apretado).
Cómo añadir aceite y combustible A Ponga el cortacéspedes al aire libre, sobre una superficie
lisa y nivelada.
B Quite la tapa de llenado de aceite. Agregue al motor todo el contenido del recipiente de aceite suministrado. Coloque nuevamente la tapa de llenado de aceite.
IMPORTANTE: El cortacéspedes es enviado sin aceite dentro del motor. No agregar el aceite resultará en daño del motor.
C Quite el tapón del combustible. Añada gasolina SIN PLOMO limpia y fresca que tenga un octanaje mínimo de 87, dejando unos 2,5 cm de espacio hasta la parte superior del tanque que permita la expansión del combustible.
IMPORTANTE El tanque de combustible tiene una capacidad de menos de 2 litros.
IMPORTANTE NO mezcle el aceite con el combustible.
D Vuelva a poner el tapón del combustible y limpie en caso de derrames.

Arranque el cortacésped A Ajuste las cuatro ruedas hasta la altura de corte deseada, y ajuste
el cortacésped para triturar, descargar o recoger en bolsa. (Vea abajo las instrucciones de cambio rápido 3 en 1).
B Oprima y mantenga oprimido el control de motor y cuchilla contra el asidero.
C Hale el mango del cable de arranque hasta que arranque el motor.
D Para engranar el sistema de impulsión de las ruedas, mueva totalmente hacia adelante la palanca del sistema de impulsión de las ruedas.
E Para detener el sistema de impulsión de las ruedas, suelte el control de motor y cuchilla.
F Para detener el motor y la cuchilla, suelte el control de motor y cuchilla.

1 Para el modo de trituración, deje en su sitio la cubierta de reciclaje.
2 Para convertir al modo de recolección en bolsa:
A Levante la puerta trasera.
B Sosteniendo abierta la puerta trasera, sujete el recolector de césped a la parte trasera del cortacésped.
C Verifique que los ganchos en cada lado del marco del recolector enganchan sobre la barra de la puerta trasera.
D Suelte la puerta trasera (ésta se colocará sobre la parte superior del recolector de césped).
3 Para convertir al modo de descarga lateral:
A Levante la cubierta de reciclaje.
B Instale el desviador de descarga lateral sobre la plataforma del cortacésped. Verifique que las lengüetas superiores del desviador están enganchadas detrás de la barra de la cubierta de reciclaje, y las lengüetas de la cubierta se fijan a través de las ranuras de enganche.
C Suelte la cubierta de reciclaje (ésta se colocará sobre la parte superior del desviador de descarga lateral).
